EVERYTHING WAS WHAT IT WAS DESCRIBED AS AND I WAS HAPPY
A good helmet for the price. It fits well, and the quality is very good for the price paid. If you need a basic helmet for occasional riding, this is the one for you.
The helmet offers great protection and is a value for the dollar but, it stinks. After utilizing my helmet after 2 weeks it began too stink. The helmet smelled like stale sweat. I tried everything to make it smell better, cleaning it (lasted only a few days), and I would place Bounce fabric softners in it when it wasn't in use (fabric softners helped a little#. Its very unsettling to take your helmet off and enter a store and have a stench of funk permeating from your head. I read other reviews that stated this helmet and others that Walmart sell, have the same problem of holding odor. I dismissed the reviews because most of the helmet reviews were positive. I returned my Walmart helmet and purchased a helmet from Cycle Gear for $59.99. My Cycle Gear helmet has a flip down sun visor #helps me see my turn signals and gps when the sun bleaches them out). I have had it for 3 weeks and it doesn't retain odors like the Walmart helmets. Do not purchase a Walmart helmet unless you absolutely have too. Take the time to research other options. You may pay a little more money but you will be happy and comfortable with a better helmet. I'll see you Guys and Gals on the road! Be safe!
