This is the fourth Slime Truck air compressor that I have bought. I have one each in my truck and car, I gave my two son's one each. The kit 50063 is the best quality for the price. They work as advertised.
After returning another Slime brand tire inflator (the $15.88 model) that lasted about 4 minutes in operation I got this one. I really wanted the Slime 2X Heavy Duty inflator but they didn't have one in the store and I needed something right away. I used it to inflate a completely flat tire on my C1500 pickup and it did the job in about 5 minutes without even getting more than slightly warm. Pretty impressive for a compressor this small. I would recommend this to anyone needing such a device and also recommend that you stay away from the super cheap models as they just aren't well made or rugged enough to do the job. Not sure I would use the green slime gunk that you put into tires that's supposed to seal leaks though. I used the stuff once and all it did was to seriously unbalance the tire without sealing the leak. That tire had a pretty large puncture, though, that I was unable to seal with 4 tire plugs so it may work on small punctures--at least well enough to get you to a repair station, anyway.
This performed BEAUTIFULLY! It is a great product and it seems to me it fills tires quicker than any other inflator. The slime stuff did seal a bead leak I had on it.
Used it pump up wife's tire on a Ford Fusion it pumped out 10 psi to top off there tire in less than a minute and very quiet. It actually took longer to unpack and hookup than the actual inflation and it far exceeds the small Bell pump we have used in the past
I have had this compressor for several years now. It has saved me from multiple bad situations. I encourage lots of people to pack this in their survival kit here in the frozen north.
If you do not have a spare tire this has worked for me to fix punctures.
For an emergency pump it is good. I fixed a flat in the Walmart parking lot where I purchased the kit. The pump took about 8 min to get my 275 65 R18 filled up to 35lbs. Has not leaked even after I filled it the rest of the way up to 48lbs at a local gas station (the pump was really hot and would just do no more.) So, why good and not excellent? The pump is a little under powered for what I really needed.
this brand new pump quits pumping at 30psi. I had a lighter duty slime compressor that would pump the tire all the way up to 50 psi until it got worn and then would only pump to 30psi. Having the slime works well on a flat due to a nail or something small.
