This table/chairs set is beautiful. It is very solid and should last for years. I purchased this set for my 2yr old grandchild and it is a little bigger/taller than I imagined, so it will serve her well for a long time. The drawer is a must to keep all the crayons/coloring books tucked away.
Pleasantly surprised at the quality of wood, styling of the table (rounded corners, curved legs) and chairs (sturdy) and the ease of putting together. Everything fit and was solid when finished. Drawer even has a stop so it does not pull all the way out. Bought it for 2 year old Grandson's birthday and he loves sitting at it and playing with his toys at his height. Size is great as he will have it for many years to come.
This set is very sturdy and went together quickly without any problems. It looks great and is exactly what we were looking for. We previously purchased one Avalon chair that has held up very well despite the fact that adults sit in it all the time. The only negative is that the table top seems like it should have had a better finish coat on it. Looking across the top, lines can be seen where the grain is so I believe it may not stand up to markers or other stains. We plan to sand the table top and apply a couple of finish coats so we won't have to worry or be overly protective of it.
Got this table and chair set for my two youngest kids for Christmas. They are 2.5 and 5 and are tall for their ages. Fits them great, is made of good quality wood and we are very pleased with it. Even my hard to please husband is very happy with it. The kids are using it a lot already and I can see it being a part of our household for several years to come. Site to Store saved a bunch on shipping and arrived in about 8 days. Overall, we are very happy with the purchase!
We got this set for our 19-month old granddaughter, and I'm very happy with it. It is very well made and was quite easy to put together - basically just had to add the legs. I was pleased with the quality of the wood - almost knot-free and a nice stain color. The chairs are a little bit high for the 19-month old, but she quickly learned to get on and off safely. It is sturdy enough for adults to enjoy without worrying that it will give way.
Table & Chairs arrived on time & all parts were included. We encountered an assembly problem which was the result of INCORRECT INSTRUCTIONS. Chair backs were damaged as we screwed in bolts which were called for in the instructions, but which were actually too long (went right through the chair back!). I called Kid Kraft & representative knew there was a problem with the instructions and agreed to send out 2 new chair backs ASAP. New chair parts arrived today and the only problem is they are a lighter shade of "natural finish" than the original chairs, and the 2 front chair legs are the same shade as table & original chairs. So, we've decided to assemble the slightly mis-matched chairs and just accept that the set is good quality but not quite matched colorwise. This glitch shouldn't diminish the use and enjoyment we expect our grandkids to get from this sturdy set. Yes, we'd recommend this set, as we guess the problem we encountered was fairly isolated. Kid Kraft made a good faith effort to correct the problem at no cost to us.
The table arrived with a chipped leg and table top as well as several washers and screws missing. While kidKraft is good at sending replacements, it took 10 business days for them to arrive. What's worse, the tabletop replacement was a different shade from the existing legs so I am still waiting for a new replacement table top. They clearly have problems with their packaging process as you will find a big sheet of paper begging you to call them if you have problems with the table...they obviously get calls often and don't want to get a bad reputation with their distributors like walmart so they want you to call them direct.
Love the table but came with split leg and split on side-returned. Reorder again but 2nd one split on top. Will have to return again. Do not understand why so many problems with a 150.00 product. Wish could get a good table. Not sure if will reorder a 3rd time. Had bought for my grandkids.
We are one of the unlucky ones. The first time I ordered I did Site-to-Store. The table top had some sharp breaks in the wood and some slats were loose on the chairs. I ordered a second one, shipped directly to me, to try to combine them and make a good set. On that one, the veneer was coming off the table top and the color was way, way off (possibly the honey finish?). I am not going for a third time. I'm very frustrated and just wish it came correctly the first time.
The table was functionally ok but it's Coner was broken, from the package I can tell the table was a returned item before and then shipped to another coustomer like me
