Just started using this oil have noticed that my engine is running a lot better and I like so far how it has such a positive review we'll be making another review in a few months when I change it and let you know how dark it came out but do notice a change in driving. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee limited 4x4 and it's never ran better. At 93000 miles. Hope this helps any questions please leave me a message.
I'm using this oil in a BMW M car (S54 engine). My last UOA at 10,700k miles not only showed lower than average wear metals but also excellent TBN retention of about 4 and a hot viscosity of over 13. Outstanding performance on an longish change interval!
Hey there fellow Motörhead's I would welcome this resin you are finding in the bottom of the quart. Why you ask, because the resin they add is what your really paying for. Make sure you get all that into the engine for that is what your really paying for. Remember shaken not stirred before you pour.
I have to admit every time I change oil I feel the engine performance get better no matter what brand. So I decided to do a little research on oils. I found the following, Pennzoil Platinum Ultra cleans the engine better than all other popular brands out there. A clean engine will hold new car performance longer and with less wear. I now use it in my fleet of vehicles. Ive had no engine problems and they all get better than EPA estimate on gas mileage. I would recommend this oil and do so to all my friends.
If you have a GM LSx Series V8 & you are not using this along with a delco ultraguard filter you are doing it wrong. My 2008 G8GT is at 190K My 500 HP 2015 Chevy SS/Holden Commodore SSv Redline is at 15K. Neither car will EVER use anything else (As long as I can find this stuff!!!). This oil just flat out performs & holds up to many extremes. My G8GT is at 190K & still purrs........ It's better than Royal Purple by Miles, Better than Amsoil, Better than Mobile 1.
Tried Ultra in 3.8 & couldn't believe how mch quieter, smoother & COOLER. I don't believe in extended oil change intervals. I use ULTRA & chnge it evewry 3000. My engine has clean quality oil.....all the time.
I used regular 5w30 oil in my 2000 kia siphia and changed the oil every 10,000 miles.And I got 332,323 miles on it when I traded it in for a new car.Engine was still running great . I now own a 2013 hyundai accent .Waited till the car got 10,000 miles on it and installed 5w20 ultra in it. I change the oil every 7500 miles on it. And it now has 78,000 miles on it and it runs great.
It's an excellent product, I can notice a drastic change in my performance. However, I was a little hesitant in using this. 2016 BMW 320i xDrive requires 0W-20 which is typically used for non-Euro cars. OEM BMW 0W-20 is LL-17 FE certified, however I could not find those certifications on Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W-20. It would be nice to know if both OEM and Pennzoil are comparable ? However, still an amazing engine oil. I could literally feel the difference in my car.
Have a '14 Mustang GT Premium on it's 3rd change of this oil. First off, I'm getting 28 mpg at 70mph on highway with 420 factory hp. automatic trans. And that's in summer with AC on and golf clubs and boxes in trunk! Second, everyday starting feels like a NEW day. Whatever happened night before is forgotten. 3 I've NEVER heard the lifters. Start car and let computer warm it up. You then can take on the world. Amazing product.
I used Pennzoil Ultra Platinum every oil change from the time I bought my new car. And I already put 135k miles on it and it runs like new as comment also from other people borrowing my car. My concern is that, why the old bottle(black) Ultra Platinum is dexos approved and the new bottle(Yellow) does not have the approval?
