Pull the small plastic hose out of the large one when you unpack. No mess at all. When you think the pump has finished, tilt the mower slightly to get the remaining oil removed.
There was no instruction to warn user that the pump requires priming with oil. But once that was done the pump worked well. Just words of caution, in winter when the ambient temperature is low don't try to use it without prior warm up of the tubings; especially the in-tube. You can't get the curl-up tubings to stay straight enough to pump out all residual oil from the engine block. So it is advicable to do your oil change in warm weather.
Used to remove synthetic oil from my car. Worked great.
I've used it for the first time this past weekend on an oil change on my '91 Sundancer. The product is quite light in weight. I wasn't sure what to expect. Pleasantly surprised. Happy with the performance so far. A little noisy, but it did the job. We'll see how it holds up. Pretty good for the price. With any luck it'll last a few years. Basically it'll be used once a year to change oil in my boat.
After researching all the options for changing the oil in my inboard boat, I decided to go with this value priced oil extractor, it performed well and drained the 5 quarts of oil through the dip stick tube in about 10 minutes. Over all a great value !!!
Inexpensive product. Built cheap too.Needed to Teflon tape connections to stop leaks. Wire ties to keep hoses attached. Would not recommend.
extract engine oil. Had to return to walmart.
output hose came off. there is no means of securing it to pump. it created a mess.
According to the advertisement, this machine is supposed to suck up and take out engine oil. However, they installed a weak motor inside the machine and it doesn't even pull up oil a bit.
This pump is very cheaply made. I read the instructions and turned it on it spit out a glop of oil, buzzed loudly for 10 seconds and quit. It would not start again. I'm taking it back today
