Awesome! I used the whole can on my kia sorento. Now it blows ice cold air :)
Used 2 of these to refill half ton truck. Ran the motor with the a/c button on. Connected the gauge first. It reads down to 15 only and the needle didn't move when the compressor was running, so the truck was almost empty (when the compressor wheel stopped turning, the pressure read high as expected). Connected the bottles, pressed the button, and rotated them about 90 degrees then back to vertical when the gauge started to drop below 55 psi. I did not press the button when the compressor cycled off. Took about 15 minutes total time. Since the gauge markings didn't compensate for temperature (calibrated to 75-85 degrees F), I filled to the top of the blue area as it was over 85 degrees outside. Disconnected everything and took another reading about 20 minutes later and the needle was in the yellow, which is still ok. Just make sure you read the gauge and fill the system ONLY WHEN THE COMPRESSOR WHEEL IS SPINNING and this product will work fine.
Make sure it comes with the hose adapter since nothing else will fit. Once you have the hose there should be an option to purchase product without it since it's re-usable.
Easy to use and less expensive than going to an auto A/C shop! Restored A/C coldness back to like new.
OK product. Gauge labeling could be clearer, I believe the 'Blue' range should be up to 55 psi.
My a/c has to be refilled about every three years due to a slow leak. Past couple times had a shop do it with their recovery machine. System takes 26 oz's to fill. They added around 22 oz's each time to the 4 oz's that was in the system. Cost me close to $60.00. I knew I would be safe to not overfill with this 18 oz bottle. It worked and is blowing cold. I did notice that when lifting off the can trigger it did not fully rise and I could still hear refrigerant flowing from the can. May be caused by the suction at the valve. Not sure If I trust the accuracy of the gauge. I will use it again next time I'm low. They had the 16 oz on shelf in the store for the same price. 2 more oz's free. Also, this has no leak sealer in it. Just plain r134a. I don't trust leak sealers.
Did not work at all . It is cheaply made and a piece of garbage. Fork up the extra dollars to get AC Pro. I wish I did.
