After checking info on the web, I decided to change my fluid instead of replacing the power steering pump on my CRV. Found this fluid on Walmart.com to be about 1/3 the price of Honda brand. shipped to store for free, replaced the old fluid, and voila! no more problems with noisy, hard to steer, power steering!
Just as good as Honda brand, much cheaper.
Great product
Excellent product at an excellent price. Have used this for years in Honda PS units. Works a treat and is far less expensive than OEM. Easy to remove old fluid using a (new/clean) turkey baster. Fill to recommend level and take a 5 min drive. Repeat 3x times and 90% of fluid will be exchanged. Takes ~2 bottles to complete above procedure. Have yet to replace a PS unit on several vehicles exceeding 150K miles including one that just topped 300K miles. Simple preventative maintenance that anyone can do.
Bought 4 bottles to flush out steering fluid for my Honda Civic So far so good. this fluid use for Honda car only Bought at Walmart cheaper than other places
Works great. Get some and save some money.
Works well for an 8 gen civic. I did read the Honda forums about people insisting on using Honda PS fluid. Since the prestone label says "honda/Acura" I just went ahead with it Bought around 4 bottles, Jacked the front wheels up and using a turkey baster I siphoned out the old fluid and followed the procedure Pour in the new fluid --> start the car ->Turn lock to Lock couple of times ( DO NOT TURN TO THE EXTREME END you should feel it come to the end) -->switch off the car ---> Siphone out the dirty fluid repeat the above process atleast 3 times and you should be good. Then with the final bottle fill it upto the mark between the upper and lower level
And almost a whole buck cheaper than Autozone.
This is a cheap alternative to Honda fluid. It works so far.... I would definitely recommend this.
Got 2 packs of 6 for my 2009 Acura MDX for $13.97 per pack of 6. Uncool, price jumped to $17.19 per pack of 6 which is more than getting 6 individual at $2.58 (6 x $2.58 = $15.48).
