[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It really does clean reallly well.Theres virtually no residue after to worry about be left on parts.Wroks the first time no need to use it again it doesn't miss a speck of dirt. Definitely recomemned to anyone needing a good parts cleaner that does its job the first application.
Through the years I've used many brake cleaners and CRC has always been my favorite. It isn't the cheapest option but it does a better job and I feel like one can lasts longer than the others. This product does stay wet longer and needs more time to dry than some other brands that will evaporate almost immediately. Overall it is my go-to when it comes to brake cleaner because it gets the job done in the end and cleans everything I may be spraying with it with ease.
Yeah, sure, it's brake cleaner. You could probably end the review there. And even though I use a ton of chlorinated solvents (dichloromethane, DCM) in my job, these non-chlorinated brake cleaners do work wonders even without the DCM. I had the perfect test for it, although writing about it brings my blood to a boil. In short, I was feeling lazy. I talked myself into bringing my car in to have the transfer case oil changed. Letting others work on my car is not something I typically do. But I have a special dislike for gear oil, it reeks, it's messy, I've got a toddler and a newborn, it was surprisingly cheap to have it done at the dealership...all things I used to justify having someone else do it. Instant regret. I get home, my garage fills with billowing black smoke. Goody. They didn't cover up the exhaust, it's absolutely dripping with gear oil. Brakleen to the rescue! Gear oil was everywhere, and the exhaust has a heat shield there with steel wool to separate it from the tube. Your options were to remove it chemically, or live with the smell of smoldering brake fluid for months on end. I opted to absolutely drench the exhaust and heat shield with Brakleen. And man, did it work. It was easy to see the color of the fluid dripping off, and I used at least half the can of Brakleen before it started running clear out of the heat shield. I don't even want to know how much gear oil was in that shield. But Brakleen blew right through it. Obviously, I typically use Brakleen when I do brakes, but it's good for all sorts of heavy duty cleaning. So long story short, I love this stuff. If you ever need absolute cleaning power of metal parts, Brakleen is your friend.
CRC Brakleen Non-Chlorinated Brake Parts Cleaner is one amazing product. First and foremost just because it's non chlorinated doesn't mean it isn't harmful. Be sure to wear gloves to protect your hands and safety glasses to avoid eye contact. Being non chlorinated doesn't change it's amazing cleaning properties. I personally used this cleaner to clean tools and degrease parts. A small amount of the brake cleaner goes a long ways and dries very quickly. The attached straw intensifies the pressure when needed for built up grime. The straw also allows you to reach hard to get areas. If you're cleaning a large area ditch the straw and blast away with minimal effort to achieve your desired clean surface. This cleaner is super safe on rubber grommets, o rings, and plastic parts. You can definitely have a piece of mind when you use CRC products. I am truly impressed with this product and the amount of cleaner given. It does its job excellent and truly leaves each surface clean. I would highly recommend this product to friends, family, and anyone inquiring about it. Im sure you will be just as impressed as I was and be thankful you tried this wonderful product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used CRC Brakleen brake cleaner for a long time now. It's the best cleaning product out there. It's easy to use and always gets the job done. I use this product every time I change my brakes, so maybe once a year. I use it on all three of my cars and will continue to use CRC. CRC is a great product with a convenient sprayer to get into the parts.
Hello 2 All, This product was nice 2 have while tearing everything down. Also made everything easier going back together. Thanks 4 Your Time, ANTHONYTHEONE
Old or new, this will CLEAN your brakes. It produces a high enough jet where you won't have to scrub anything, the dirt/grease/grime just comes right off. Just remember that this cleaner is designed to handle the toughest of dirt on your brake parts. Wear gloves, and DO NOT let it get on your tires/rims, as it will damage them. Beyond that, Brakeleen is a product I've used for years, because it makes maintenance so much easier.
I'm a mechanic so brake cleaner is always a plus around here. There isn't really too much I can say about it. It works as good as the other brands. It's a pretty good sized bottle so will hopefully last a bit before I have to get more. I would recommend to others.
A go-to cleaner. I used on dirty brake assemblies when changing them. It is sort of like going through a car wash. Grime came streaming off. A youtube video gave me the idea to spray an oil stained garage floor and quickly brush clean with cat sand. That worked when standard garage floor cleaners had failed. I plan to keep a can in the garage and some cat sand if only for that.
Didn't really notice a difference in the ability to clean brake parts. The biggest difference was it was so chemically when applied. Don't get me wrong, still smells like a brake cleaner would.. BUT not as strongly. Gets the job done, slightly better for the environment. Give it a go.
