The Gumout fuel injector cleaner is a great product, with continued use. This is not the type of product you would use just once. I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck with about 180,000 miles. I purchased a few additional bottles of this product so I could get a true feel for the results of using it. I add one bottle to my gas tank every time I fill up my truck. After about the third fill up (regular unleaded 87 octane), adding the Gumout fuel injector cleaner each time, I noticed my truck idled smoother and appeared to have a little more pep in accelerating. There was no noticeable changes in gas mileage. This product appears to do what it states, by cleaning the injectors and fuel delivery system and I would recommend this product.
Gumout is a brand that we trust. We can notice a change in the way our engine runs smoother after using this fuel injector/carburator cleaner. We also save on gas. It is easy to use. Wait until your gas is low and you are ready to fill up. Open the bottle and insert into your gas tank before you fill up.
I use this as my number one fuel additive and am always pleased with the added performance that I get from it. I like all of the Gumout products and would recommend using them to anyone that has not found a helpful product to help clean their carburetor and intake systems, not to mention the benefits that it provides octane wise. All of my motorcycles appreciate it and my car as well.
The Gumout Fuel Injector/Carb Cleaner 6oz (510021W) is easy to pour into your gas tank. My car is very high mileage but consistently gets around 25mpg with mostly highway driving. After using one bottle of fuel injector/carb cleaner there is a slight change in the mpg I get to the positive but more importantly my car runs much smoother! I have better, faster acceleration and it just sounds better. I would definitely recommend this product especially if you have an older model high mileage car like I do! I definitely plan to keep using it at the recommended intervals in the future.
I really like this Gumout Fuel Injector cleaner. Treats up to 21 gallons. It helps me save on gas and prevents deposits. My husband says it keeps fuel injectors, Carbs intake valves clean for a smoother running engine. Pretty easy to use. I add the entire bottle to nearly empty tank then fill up to 19 gallons of gasoline. Now my truck runs way better. Love it! It shipped really good also.
The Gumout Fuel Injector/Carb Cleaner worked wonderful on my 2002 Toyota Rav4. It comes in a 6oz bottle and is very easy to use. My car has been idling rough. My husband added Gumout fluid to my gas tank and after a few days my car was running really smooth. This cleaner made a big difference in my cars performance. Worked well! I highly recommend!!
The Gumout Fuel Injector Cleaner was exactly what we needed to add to my husband's work truck fuel line. This truck has over 100K miles and is driven extensively during the week. Added this to the fuel compartment and the truck ran smoothly and with slightly noticeable increase in fuel mileage. This will now be our go-to for helping to prolong the life of this truck.
So I had never tried this brand but everything seems fine. It was easy to use, added while getting gasoline. Haven't had Any indications of a problem. I don't know if this is a new product Or just new to us. We do buy these kinds of products buts usually A different brand, so since this went well, I will have to see if it's Available next time I'm getting them.
I have an older pickup truck and it gets terrible mileage. Gas prices have gotten so high I was hoping I could get better mileage with an additive that could clean my carburetor too. I didn't notice any difference with my first tank of gas with Gumout but I decided to buy more and see if it makes a difference over time. Basically you wait until your tank runs low and put in the bottle of additive then fill up with at least 10 gallons. I added this to the tank at the gas station and then pumped my gas. I did notice my truck was running smoother over time. Not sure if I will get a lot better mileage over time but my engine runs smoother.
Car has about 170k miles. Never done a fuel injector cleaning or spark plug changes. But at the same time didn't have any significant issue with the engine either. But wanted to give some TLC to the car so added this to the gas tank as instructed. Seems to be idling little better than before using this but it could also just a placebo effect. I am not sure whether just bottle can clean and clear everything so may be give it another try with another bottle. Cannot vouch for mpg increase either with this 1 bottle.
