"The Archive of American Television Presents," a partnership between the Archive of American Television and E1 Entertainment, issues this compilation of two made-for-television dramas authored by Twilight Zone progenitor Rod Serling for CBS's Studio One anthology in the 1950s. "The Arena" tells of a senator struggling over whether or not to use incendiary information to topple his father's political rival; and "The Strike" dramatizes the plight of an army major in the Korean War forced to issue a command that will kill twenty of his officers but save hundreds in the process. These television programs come to DVD in their original 4x3 aspect ratio, with a mono soundtrack and English subtitles for the hearing-impaired. As an added bonus, the set includes a 12-page booklet with commentary from Larry James Gianakos and Rod Serling's daughter, Anne Serling-Sutton.
