Valvoline Full Synthetic SAE 75W-140 Gear Oil used for hypoid differentials where L-5 or GL-4 oil recommended. It is good for all seasons use because it is full synthetic, has extreme pressure additive, excellent thermal stability and anti-foam agent. Will work well in extreme low or high temperatures. Can be used in most brands and models of cars, SUVS and trucks. The bottle design allows to squeeze it directly to the charging hole and you do not need a pump to fill the differential. Valvoline is a well known brand name, so I have no doubts in quality of the product.
For my Jeep, this is a lot easier to put in the rear and front than the plastic bottles. Some folks say that the 140 is too thick but living in the deep south it works for me.
Valvoline makes great petroleum products and now they put them in pouches. With the oil in a pouch with a small funnel for a tip this is the way to go. These pouches can get into places that a normal funnel can't reach. Just snip the end off the nozzle and place it in the oil port. Squeeze the pouch with nozzle in place and in no time the gear box is full. If you didn't use it all, just replace the top and save the rest for later.
The Valvoline Flex Fill SAE 75W-140 Full Synthetic Gear Oil 1 QT Squeeze Pouch is a nice solution for anything that needs grease or oil for moving parts. I actually used this oil for all of the lubricating parts in my garage door opener. I added some to the garage door rollers and the chain drive that pulls the garage door up and down. This oil allows quiet functionality and improved performance. I also used this oil to lubricate and reduce the squeaking from my bicycle chain. This oil itself comes in a convenient pouch that is quite large. The nozzle allows for easy application. I highly recommend using this oil for home applications that may need lubrication.
Got this to try on my boat . most gear oil comes in hard plastic containers and are a mess to use . this was much easier to use with less mess then the others .
Valvoline is a brand that can always be trusted. I have never seen the squeeze pouch before but I like it. One concern might be it leaking. I had no problems with it. Easy to put oil where it's needed to be. Retails for under $13. Seems like a fair price. Always a good product
This Valvoline Full Synthetic gear oil is just what many late models require. This gear oil even has the required limited slip additive added to it so no special dealership additive is needed. I had always had plastic bottles of gear oil before but this bag is much easier to use as it is flexable and is not as hard to get into tight places. No need for a pump to install the gear oil as the bag works great.
I have been using Synthetic gear lubes, oils, greases, trans fluid since back in the late 90's and My engines etc have never had a problem with any of my items including an old truck that ran 400k before I sold it still running strong. My point is if you don't run a synthetic your crazy. What I really want to talk about here since we know Valvoline is a trusted brand, we know Synthetic is awesome is these squeeze pouches and all I can say is wow, simple brilliant and so easy to use and not have to fight with holding the bottle at a good enough angle and spill it like always happens.....until now. These pouches made filling my front dif oil so simple I actually forgot to take a picture so I had to have wife take the first picture on the rear differential and as I told her about how the pouch made it so much easier she said your funny??? Basically you will love these and valvoline so much you will blab about the squeeze pouch to someone who could care less also
My truck needed the oil in the diff changed. I was offered this gear oil to change it with, and WOW. I don't even care how good the oil is, the squeeze packs makes this worth it. For the first time, I didn't have to drop the spare tire to change the oil. Don't get me wrong I fully trust Valvoline, I am running their oil in my motor. But the easy of using the squeeze bags make this item awesome! I received this item as a part of a review.
I use this valvoline in my 2003 dodge ran 1500 front and rear differentials and it could not be easier to use. The design makes it very easy to reach into small areas. I change it out about every 1200 miles and as of now i gave about 100 miles on the oil and its still clear.
