We use this grease to coat the poles of bird feeders. It keeps the squirrels from climbing up and eating all the sunflower seeds. Unorthodox, but it works.

I ordered about eight of these tubs. Six were apparently shipped from one warehouse and two were shipped from a different warehouse. The last two were sent in just a padded envelope and got crushed in shipping. See the picture. I didn't order this grease to use it right away so it's a real mess to store it this way. Other than the poor packaging, I love the grease. I've used it on trailer wheel bearings in the past and it seemed to stay soft and lubricate the bearings better than other greases I've tried without leaking too much oil out of the hole in the vent cap or past the cap threads. I no longer saw this grease on the Valvoline website so I got the feeling this grease was being discontinued. That's why I bought more than I needed to store for future use. Now I have a couple messy can's to store. I also bought some of this grease in grease gun tubes and they bent all the aluminum ends where the tube has to seal against the grease gun seal. So Im having to try to straigthen the ends before I put them in the grease gun with an inch and a half fender washer and light taps with a hammer.
Can was cracked open. Seal was closed but the grease leaked through the top.
