I love this blanket, better than the rest. It is less expensive from the rest too. It was easy to bring my sleeping baby on it and barely moved her at all as I close it. With the convenient velcro for the arms, no need to pull arm through a hole and it zips from the bottom for easy diaper changing. I couldn't live without so I bought a lot of both sizes.
This product is great! I purchased it when my son was about 6-7 months old and started rolling when he sleeps. The regular blankets didn't work and I decided to try a sleeping bag. I chose this one because the zipper is on the rear side and is very convenient. I put the baby inside, close the zipper and he is covered all night. He can roll as much as he want, I don't worry anymore!
I have two other brands at home; this one works best for us: it is the only wearable blanket that you can put on a sleeping child - just spread it flat in the crib, put your baby there, zip up and fasten velcro on the shoulders - and you are done! Dressing a sleeping baby is impossible with other brands, as you'll have to pull the baby's hands through the holes, and you can't spread out the blanket with the zipper in the middle.
I love this wearable blanket. It is great for those cold spring or fall nights. I would use a lighter wearable blanket for summer though, this would get a bit hot. I would put the baby in a sleeper and then put on the wearable blanket for the winter months. The hook side of the velcro can be rough on baby's skin, but I realized I needed to conform the top tab to the hook side of the velcro, then the rough part never got next to my son's skin. He loves his blanket, he can kick his feet all he likes and still stays warm. It's very convenient to change his diaper. Overall it's a great product!
My 6 month old son sleeps in this sleep sack every night. I prefer this one to other brands because you don't have to put baby's arms through holes--there is velcro, so you just lay him down & fasten it. It is minimal disturbance to keep him calm. I started using the small size around 3 months when we stopped swaddling him, and then got the large size when he was around 4 months. It is also safer to use this than blankets in the crib.
I love this product. I love that my daughter stays warm at night and I don't have to worry about blankets which helps me to sleep better. I love the fact that it velcro's at the arms and zips up all around, it is easy to put her in even if she is already sleeping. She seems to be comfortable in it as well which is a plus.
This has kept our little one nice and warm through out the night, before we got this she would wake up in the middle of night because she kicked herself out of her blanket. Now with this this product she sleeps 95% of the time through the night. Needless to say it has been a lifesaver for both my husband and I!
My son loves this product!! When I first brought him home he wouldn't sleep in his crib, so I used the sleep sack I got as a baby shower gift. Unfortunately, the zipper broke. When I was trying to find a replacement everyone wanted more than $20 I figured I would try this one. My only complaint is that sometimes he squirms so much at night the velcro on the shoulder rubs his cheek. I think snaps would have been a better choice for this area.
I ordered this product after ordering another kind, the Halo sleep sack. The kiddopotamus one is softer, but I think the zipper on the outside is mor difficult than one down the middle. The zippers down the middle zip from the top down, so you can just unzip the bottom to change your baby. Also, the adjustable straps over the shoulders are too far apart. My daughter is almost 11 mos old and they still fall off her shoulders if she moves. So I'll probably be sending this item back. I recommend a sleep sack that has wider fabric over the shoulders so it doesn't fall off. I'm happy with the other sleep sack I ordered.
I thought the all around zipper would be a nice idea, but it didn't work for me, I hate the velcro closures on the sides top, it just wakes up my daughter when I need to change her in the middle of the night... The zipper also had a very poor finished (it was hanging) I took it back. The only nice thing about this item was the price I think.
