I was a little hesitant to purchase this topper because it was so inexpensive. I had done a thorough search on line trying to find one within my budget. I was pleasantly surprised by how much more comfortable it made the mattress. I was also happy to see that it was made in the United States.
If a wanted to use this as a mattress topper I would be very disappointed. This same product is advertised on some websites as a mattress elevator, and others as a mattress topper. Many of the photos show it between the mattress and the box spring (where it belongs). I have acid reflux and I need to raise the head of my bed 4-6 inches higher than the foot of the bed. This works perfectly for that purpose. When I first opened the package and let it air out for 24 hours I was certain it was too soft and flimsy to go under the mattress. I thought it would definitely get compressed under the weight of the mattress. I almost returned it without even trying it. I was shocked when I put it under my mattress and it kept it's form. Now I have the perfect incline of 5" from the head of my bed to the foot. My sheet still goes on my mattress like it always did because the sheet does not have to go over this product. I don't slide to the bottom of the bed because the incline is gradual over the length of the entire bed. It is way better than those wedge pillows that only work on the top 24" of the bed. Those never work for side or stomach sleepers because they hurt the neck and back. I am very happy with this product (as a mattress elevator).
I got this topper for my queen bed which is a pillow top firm mattress. Once received, I opened the package and laid out the topper as the directions indicated. The topper expanded within a couple of hours, not days and it is very comfortable. I sleep much better and have had no back or hip trouble. I purchased 3 more for my kids beds, 2 twin and 1 full and they love them. I thought they fit all three size beds as they should. They are toppers so they do not cover the mattress completely but met my expectation. I am very happy with my purchase. This is a great value for the price.
Our bed was very comfortable, but I felt it needed just a bit more cushion - I could feel pressure points when lying in certain positions. Since adding the memory foam topper, those pressure points are gone - the good bed is now a great bed. I find that I settle into a position when I go to sleep, and wake up in the same position, without any sore spots from lying in one position all night. My wife agrees the quality of our sleep has improved since adding this memory foam topper. The topper fits very well on top of the mattress, and our fitted sheets have no problem fitting over the topper. The topper didn't have any odor upon opening, and it expanded fully within a few hours. Overall we're very pleased with this purchase - exactly what we were looking for.
Got this to improve the mattress we got for our 3 yr old. We were on a very tight budget so we bought the cheapest mattress set we could find. As it turns out, we got we paid for. The mattress barely had any padding on it. I could actually feel and hear the springs whenever I moved on the bed. Scoured the internet for a memory foam topper that had the right price and good reviews. Most I looked over complained about the smell on the foam. As my little boy is sensitive to smells and this is the only foam where reviewers did not mention any bad smells, I opted for this. Glad I did. No smells (didn't need to air it out), is cushy (my 3 yr old's description), fit on mattress is good and most importantly, laying down on the bad mattress is no longer a torture. Added the Classic Harmony Waterproof mattress pad and the loft on this pad has made the bed even comfier. My little boy loves his big boy bed!
My favorite thing about this topper is the grid pattern of cuts. This allows each part to compress as needed without pulling down other parts. There's a clear difference in the comfort-feel of this topper for that reason alone. I put it on top of a mattress that is too firm for my liking, and it makes all the difference in the world. Much more comfortable than without it! I bought one for my son and another later for my parents (who slept on my son's bed when visiting and really liked the topper). We just added a guest room so bought a third one for that bed.
Great product for the money, it's like buying a new bed for under $50.00 I have a lower back problem and since purchasing this product my back pain has practically disappeared. Great comfort and support I now have a great nights sleep and wake up feeling very recharged. The only drawback is that it is difficult to get out of bed because you will be so comfortable that you don't want to get up. Highly recommend, I wish that I had bought this years ago.
I have been using this now for over a week and it seems to be really helping at night to help me sleep without having acid run up in my throat. I bought this because I still wanted to be able to sleep on my mattress instead of a wedge that was almost the same price as this entire incline. And a wedge seems to me that eventually there is going to be pressure on your hips if you are a side sleeper, and I'd say you could forget about sleeping comfortably on your stomach. With the Beautyrest Geo Incline you can sleep any way that you want. It's very easy to "install", all you need is someone to help you lift your mattress and put the incline right on top of the box spring and there you have it. You can also put it on top of your mattress if you prefer. It took me a few nights to get used to being inclined instead of laying flat, but now it doesn't bother me. This really works if you're like me and like your mattress. This was a good buy!
Not bad for the money. I am sure the mattress pads that cost three times as much are better, but that was not in my budget. This smelled funny the first night or two but now is fine, and it has helped make the bed more comfortable. Fit is fine--have a queen bed and the queen product fits.
First, I am not sure this is a Beautyrest topper because there was no a single label saying that name. The product description slip said Louisville Bedding. Nevertheless, the foam was a good quality, did not smell, was surprisingly lightweight and soft to touch (gets 3 stars for this). At the thicker (upper body area) end, however, it provided very firm support, more firm than I hoped for. At 125 Lb, I apparently is too light to sleep on this topper. My shoulders did very little indent into the topper, and the topper therefore felt hard and uncomfortable. I actually woke up with painful shoulders next morning and the following 5 mornings that I was trying to get used to the topper, hence 1 star. My butt has experienced the most comfort as it apparently had enough weight to sink in a bit, but not enough to support the lower back area: I could slide my hand between my lower back (waistline level) and the topper with no problem. I was most comfortable when I put sheet directly on the topper. Putting a mattress pad in between sheet and the topper made the topper feel even harder, but without the topper I felt every square of the foam, which was weird. Being bigger and heavier, my husband had no problems with the topper hardiness, but could not deal with the feeling of sliding down, even though he was not actually sliding that much. We did not notice any health benefits. I am glad Walmart took it back with no questions asked.
