It looks GREAT and matches the Graco - Sarah 4-in-1 Convertible Classic Crib, Cherry beautifully. We added glue to the drawer bottoms as this is a dresser we are hoping to have to grow with our child. We tested the drawers to make sure everything worked smoothly before and after gluing, and it did. When we moved the dresser, however, things got a little out of whack and the drawers started bumping into each other. It took a little moving around to get it settled back into a good position, but now works fine. I am concerned, however, that simply moving it from one position to another torqued the dresser enough to get things shifted out of line. The dresser has good style, capacity, and metal drawer runners that should stand a lot of use.
very beautiful color wood! its very sturdy! Also, a changing pad fits perfect on the top and its perfect height for a changing table too!
In decorating our nursery, this time we opted for less expensive furniture. I spent hours reading reviews on all different pieces of furniture, and finally decided on this dresser. We have a small room, and I thought this would fit nicely, plus it goes well with the Graco Sarah crib and changing table we purchased online. I anticipated broken pieces or damage, but not only did it arrive early with site to store shipping, but my husband put it together very quickly, with no problems, and it looks beautiful. Exactly what I expected for the price, and I wish that we had gone with something like this for our last baby.
Used site to store, and item arrived perfectly and quickly. Very easy to assemble, I am seven months pregnant and had no problem doing it alone. Very solid, expensive looking piece for the price that you pay. I purchased a contoured 16 x 32 changing pad for the top and it fits perfectly, it does not go over any of the edges. Love the color, it is a rich cherry-espresso, and matches the other Storkcraft furniture in cherry finish. Highly recomended.
We ordered this and the five drawer dresser as well. They look gorgeous and very expensive. It took my husband a good while to put them together. For the most party they're sturdy. This dresser I'm having issues with the pieces not staying where they should be. May need some super glue so I can stop putting the pieces back. Overall, it's beautiful and I love the look of this with my cribs to match. Well worth it and you should get it! I think I will buy some for myself later on.
This cherry wood dresser matched pretty well with my Graco cherry wood crib. The dresser has a slightly redder tone to it, but overall it goes very well with the crib. The dresser holds up pretty well for the price. As far as putting it together, I'm not good at doing stuff like that, so when I saw all the parts and screws, it looked pretty tidious to me. However, my sister did put the dresser together in about an hour or so with no problems at all.
The Storkcraft - Beatrice 3-drawer chest comes unassembled in a compact box that will fit in any car trunk. Assembly instructions are easy to follow, but it takes a good hour or two. I'm very happy with the quality of the product for the price and it looks good.
Dresser is cute once put together. Once opening up the box was a bit dissappointed based how many pieces and screws there were. I thought for the price, the dresser would have plywood backing and plywood bases for the drawers, instead the manufaturer used a very thin cardboard, a tad thicker than poster board. If you want to store anything heavy or be able to load your drawers up, I'd think twice before purchasing because the bottom of drawers can't support the weight. OVerall, the dresser is cute, but I'm not sure I would of paid the $190, if I would've known about the backing and material used for the base of the drawers. The rest of the material is acceptable.
I ordered this dresser for our nursery to do double duty as a changing table and a dresser. (We attached a Serta contoured changing pad to the top, which fits perfectly.) Pros for this dresser: (1) it's a perfect size for a small room; (2) it looks very attractive; and (3) the outer frame is sturdy and is made of wood. Cons: (1) the drawers are shallow and are NOT as deep as the drawer fronts appear to be; (2) the back of the dresser consists of two pieces of thin particle board that are joined together by a plastic connector; and (3) the drawer bottoms are made of a flimsy piece of white laminated particle board. To elaborate on the drawers, the drawer fronts are a little more than 8 inches tall but the drawer back and sides are about 3 3/8 inches tall so items stacked higher than that will fall off the back and the sides. This was very disappointing. Also, the overall drawer construction is not as sturdy as I expected and is going to require careful handling. One other note about the assembly and hardware: the directions are not great and one helpful tip is that when you place the round cam lock devices into the designated holes, be sure that the arrow printed on the top of the cam lock is pointing toward the direction of the hole from which the cam screw is inserted. I mistakenly thought the arrow should point UP but that will not allow the cam lock to "grab" the cam screw when you turn the cam lock with the screw driver. Although this is from a different company, this video explains how to use the cam lock/screws: http://www.sauder.com/services/tipsmovie.asp?MovieID=13
When I picked up this item from the store, the box was small which meant the dresser itself was going to be small. The directions to assemble it were not that clear so its assembly took about an hour and fifteen minutes. My number one complaint about this product is the pattern of the wood. The two shelves on the bottom look as though they are a from a totally different dresser than the top shelf and sides. It's really annoying when I look at it and notice this. I didn't want to bother trying to take it apart and returning it, being nine months pregnant and trying to fit it back into its box was going to be next to impossible, I just settled and it's still sitting there in my room. Also, the drawers are very shallow. I have no idea why they did not make the drawers as deep as the drawer faces would have allowed them to be. After purchasing this item online, I found other dressers which would've been a better buy, which is why I rated the value so low. Overall, do some comparison shopping first to make the best decision before buying this dresser. Also, if you must buy a dresser from Storkcraft, I'd buy this version, but in the 4-drawer model. Thanks!
