We had a problem with one piece in the package but a quick call to the manufacturer and it was resolved. It was pleasant and painless;great customer service. This was put together by my 12 year old. It is very sturdy and spacious. Would recommend company and product to everyone.
I wanted a cabinet to hide my "junk" in my junk room. It's perfect. The "cubbies" are 13 1/2 inches wide, 18 inches deep, and the height on each is adjustable (12 inches tall if all same). The bottom drawer is good sized, too. It is very classy looking. A bit of a pain to put together, but worth it. The "back" is "cardboard," not wood, but the rest is high quality.
After reading the reviews on this item, I decided to purchase. I had originally planned on putting this piece, along with the dresser and nightstands in my master bedroom and put my old furniture which is very similar but larger in my son's room. It was just too short (about 4 feet tall) and little for the room so I decided to put all the pieces in my son's room and keep my original pieces in my room. It fits very nicely in that room which is smaller and looks very nice. Some reviews complained about how hard it was to put together but I didn't find that to be the case at all. I put it together by myself in about 2 hours (I am female). The directions were easy to understand. Overall, it is very nice and looks great for the money but if you are looking for a larger armoire, you should look at other choices. Also, the inside has shelves, not a hanging rod so if you put clothes, they have to be folded. It works for what I needed it for.
Based on the picture I thought this was like an armoire that I could put my TV in, with a drawer underneath for DVDs, etc. So I was surprised and a little disappointed that there are actually 6 cubes inside. It worked out fine though and it looks great. But be prepared for millions of pieces! My advice- lay the pieces on a towel while putting this together, it will help keep your furniture from getting scratched up. Enjoy!
It looks good. The drawers slide in and out easy. We used extra glue on the drawers for reinforcement. We followed the instructions and it went together perfectly. It arrived with a few scratches, but we put it together anyway. I am going to contact the maker for a replacement part. Dont use too much strength putting the parts in the predrilled holes. My husband did and had to pull them out so that the attachments would fit. It is a good value for the price.
I bought this armoire as an additional closet, not knowing it comes with shelves instead. I was able to drill a hole in the divider, insert a closet rod, and convert it to a closet where I can hang more clothes. It works well and looks nice; it's also much sturdier than I thought it would be. Even with shipping costs, it was a good deal (I know - I shopped around for a month).
It's important to know that this product is full of shelves inside and is not really made to hold a TV or hanging clothes like a wardrobe. I actually needed a wardrobe to hang clothes in and Ikea did not have the dark brown color I was looking for. I saw the review saying it was far too low for a TV and that it had shelves inside so I figuered we could add a bar to hang clothes ourselves -- it worked out PERFECT. If you're not putting in the shelves on the inside then it actually doesn't take long to assemble. My husband did it in about two hours. The frame is sturdy, however I expect that with time the doors might become a problem because, while ours does close, they don't seem like they would stand up to tons of wear and tear. We used site to store pick up for free shipping and it came undamaged. It's not high quality furniture, but it looks nice. I'm planning to change out the hardware because it looks like office furniture to me with those handles on it. Overall review: We're changing the hardware, not using it for it's intended purpose, made our own modifications, and certainly don't intend to pass this down for generations cause it's probably going to last us 1-3 years...but the frame work this product offered us, in the color that we wanted, at a price thatt is what we wanted to pay for something that we expect to be temporary makes me give this a thumbs up.
I love the appearce but was to small for what I wanted it for.It would have been great if it would have been bigger.Love the ajustable shelves and the drawer on the bottom.
I orginally purchased this cabinet to put in my bathroom, but once assembled it was a bit too big. My husband promptly claimed it for himself to use in our bedroom for his clothes, and he really likes it. It looks nice in our bedroom as well. We put our 32" flat screen tv on top of it, so everything worked out. I used the free site to store shipping and received the cabinet before the estimated arrival date. Assembly was very challenging--it took my husband and I about 3 hours to put it together, partly because the instructions were not very clear. So far the cabinet has held up, but I am not sure if it will last for years. Overall I would recommed this cabinet because once assembled it does look very nice, holds a lot of stuff, and is priced well.
I bought this entire bedroom set thinking I got a great deal instead of buying one from a furniture store... but you get what you paid for. It took forever to assemble as does most of the bedroom set and the doors are uneven, it has shelves instead of a rod and the furniture had scratches on it when I got it. The wood is flimsy and its such a hassel to return a whole set once you've put it all together. Save your money and buy a nicer set.
