This product is awesome. It is comfortable, durable and is so easy to wipe down. I have a Mastiff and I am using this for her bed. She is comfortable and just loves it. It is very hard on their joints to just lay on the floor so I looked around and I finally ran accross this item. It is 4'X5' and it can be made into many different positions. I am very pleased and what a bargain! I used site to store and what a breeze this whole transaction was. They notified me by email when it came in and I had no shipping charges. A very pleasant experience. These bags come in all different sizes too. I am thrilled!
I bought this online and had it shipped to my local WalMart store for pick up (FREE SHIPPING THAT WAY!). It was folded down so that it could be put in a box that was about 2 feet X 2 feet X 2 feet (easier to carry!) I was able to just throw it on the floor and the pile on began! It was wonderful!!! That's when I openned THE SECOND BOX WITH THE OTHER ONE JUST LIKE IT!!!! I laid them side by side and was able to have everyone jump on for movie night! When we have game night - we fold them like chairs and put them around the couch & coffee table and there is not a uncomfortable seat in the house! We love these guys!!! Did I mention when they are in the 'seat' position you have have two adults sit on it confortably? You can! I'm just so excited that I purchased them! These are constructed very well with a think outer shell; so far, I don't see anything tearing them up! I even caught the dog trying to 'bury' his toy in one - after I scatted the dog off - I looked at it - No damage whatsoever! I'm going to have these things for a LONG time!!!
Don't hesitate to buy this bag, if you're looking for something different from the traditional round bean bag, really comfortable. It does need extra filling and I purchased a bag from Walmart at the same time and now its perfect. Even spending the extra on filling, it is still a great buy for the size. As others have mentioned I'm going to attempt to make another cover as the one that comes with it does attract fluff and the filling is directly inside so it cannot be removed to wash.
We checked out all types of bean bags before deciding to buy the Big Joe. My husband wanted a bean bag that he and our 11-month old son could play in and relax on. We figured this shape would be safer and more versatile than the round chairs. It has been great, so far! Our son loves to dive into the soft mountain of beads. It can be formed to use as a backrest when watching TV from the floor. And, any spills have been wiped off the cover without any problems. The price of this chair (even after shipping costs) was better than most of the others we researched, too.
I bought this for my daughter so she could lay on the floor while watching cartoons. This pillow is large enough that both of us can lay on it. It also makes a great bed for her friends and small overnight guests. I like the fact that it can also be shaped into a chair-like position. Great purchase and worth the price. You can't buy the "filling" for less. I love to sew and plan to make a cover for it as it tends to pick up lint and dust - need something that I can pull off and throw in the washer.
I recently ordered and received the Big Joe tan beanbag and as others have stated in their reviews, it was not filled with enough beans. We had an old beanbag that I opened and put those beans in the new Big Joe beanbag that I received from WalMart. Now the Big Joe looks like the photo on-line. The fabric is a nice and sturdy fabric and the edges are double-stitched. Nice quality. I would recommend this product as long as you 'know' that it probably will not have enough beans it in. Maybe it's easier to roll up and put in a box to ship since it is not completely full. But it's large--both of my children (ages 8 and 11) can both easily fit on it to watch tv together--I bought a body pillow from WalMart for them to use when lying on it on the playroom floor and they love it. My boys (11 & 13) wanted a bean bag chair so that they could sit on it to play their video games......I bought this LARGE bean bag mat....so they can sit on it side by side.............I had it dropped site to store.........it came quite quickly........and it's just what was described on the web!! The boys love it, I have sat on it with one of my sons....it's quite comfortable and certainly servinig the purpose it was intented for!! Great buy for the $$. It seems very sturdy. The only down side is I would have rathered a demin colored bag.........but it was not available and had much worse review!! Buying this bean bag was a great decision!!
This bean bag is big. You can use it in different shapes. At least two med size kids could lay on it at the same time. But it doesn't have a zip off cover for cleaning so the cover color is not really practical. Otherwise I have no complaints. If you pick it up bring a big vehicle.
when i purchased this product it was an 18th birthday present for myself. i figured it would be a nice place to lay comfortably and read once the new house is finished, and i move in. the bean bag looks like an ugly sack so if you do purchase it, be prepared to make a cover for the thing, or dress it up with decorative pillows. trying to sit or lie down on the thing is no better than sitting on the floor, as it is barely half full with lumpy Styrofoam beads of different sizes. so, its as if someone scratched away as a Styrofoam block and shoved it in a sack. be prepared to purchase replacement beads, as it is a necessity if u desire to keep this product. though, keep in mind when you unzip the bag, the static built on inside with the Styrofoam will force them to spring from the bag like popcorn, and leave a mess in your house for weeks. on top of that, once you have spent an extra fifty bucks on replacement beads, and the bag is semi full, you will never get the zipper quite back to where it was supposed to be, and beads will continuously leak out. eventually after spending the extra cash on a new cover, and replacement beans, and cleaning supplies, and sewing supplies, the darn thing has cost you roughly 160bucks and you realize you were better off buying a couch.
I picked the item up and walked it right to the return counter. The fabric was very scratchy to the touch, it was less than half full with bean bag filler and when I returned it, the cashier asked me what department it was from, I told her home furnishings and she said oh I thought it was a dog bed!!! Great concept, but very poor quality.
