Great desk, very sturdy. Good size. Takes about 10-12 minutes with two people. Extremely heavy, glad shipping is free!
I am normally not the one who gives too many reviews but my 8 year old son liked the desk so much that he actually wrote a feedback and asked me to post it. So here is what he has to say - "the table has a lot of storage and is pure red it looks brown in the photo it is the bessssssssssssssst ". As you can see he absolutely loves it. It is very easy to put together - its almost like a giant 3D puzzle (no tools assembly - just slot and lock). In fact kids had a lots of fun putting it together. It is a mid-sized table, fairly sturdy. My son was looking for a bright red table and this is just perfect. The only two comments I have are - 1) it would have been better if there was a way to attach the hatch to the table as it feels a bit unstable and 2) the manual is quite tricky and in many cases misleading. Since it was so easy to out together, one is actually better off by ignoring instructions in the manual.
I love this desk. It is super easy to put together but you do need 2 people to do it. It is super well made and very strong. I bought two i like them so much. The red parts are fire red, not brownish like the pictures. Much nicer colors than expected.
We got this desk for my son. LOVE the ease of assembly. The colors are great. It is sturdy. Just be sure your box includes the hardware to mount the hutch. Our box was severely damaged and it may have fallen out. The desk overall is pretty cool.
I purchased this desk for my son. I attempted to put the item together by myself, but had difficulty (definitely not a 3 minute assembly as advertised on the box). The assembly would have been much easier had another adult been present to help, otherwise I am very satisfied with the quality of the product and my son loves it. Another bonus, the desk does not require tools and each piece locks into pre-cut slots and is quite sturdy (similar to tongue and groove). The top hutch does not attach to the main desk, however. There are screws and lathces to secrue it to a wall if needed, but the position of my son's desk on his wall did not require the latches.
Aside from having to saw off a couple tiny things to make one shelf fit -- really, it was their mistake! -- this is a great deal. We painted it because the color was totally wrong for us, but it's very good for such a low price (129).
I had purchased a similar desk for my daughter a year ago, and liked it so much I decided to get one for my son. My only complaint is that it arrived missing a piece for the hutch, so it could not be assembled. Apparently the manufacturer has changed ownership so I was unable to get a replacement part. I had to order another desk and return the initial one. That was a pain because the box is very heavy and large! Glad to have it complete now.
Excellent desk for a small space, lots of space to store things on shelves. Colors (we got black and red) were excellent, bright and shiny. I enjoyed the no tools assembly, was like putting together a puzzle. Directions were not quite accurate, I did a lot of looking at the picture to figure out what their drawings meant. Assemble in about 20 minutes myself, with 2 kids that were stabilizing things for me. I planning to buy another for my daughter.
This is a nice desk. The color is actually a bright red. My only complaint was that the corners were severely damaged. Could have been due to shipping, could have been due to warehouse storage. If that is something that is important to you, I would suggest finding something else. The other customer complaints were the same. Other than that is set up super easy, it is a comfortable size and it is really cute!
I am giving this a 3 star due to the fact that the desk didn't come with any instructions and so there are two pieces that I am not able to put on the desk. I had to look at the photo of the already put together desk to even make sure it was right. I like the desk and it works well for what I got it for. It is sturdy enough so I would recommend the desk for those people who need a smaller but workable desk.
