The kit has everything you need to bring back the finish to good. I was hoping for great. It is well worth the price but I think the final wax could be better. I had to do the wax 3 times to get good. It could have used another couple of waxes but I was out of wax. I will try a different wax on top of this and see if i can get great.
I bought Meguiars Brilliant Solutions Paint Resoration Kit the other day. Eager to see how it worked, I quicky unpackaged it and got to work. I used it on an old truck that had alot of scratches and tar and bugs on it. No paint fading so I cant testify on that. However, I gave the truck 2 good washings to start off with and the cleaner is good quality. Gave it a shine and disolved some of the tar and bugs right off! Great start! I procedded to use the clay and it got all the bugs and tar off with the exception of large spots that had been on there forever. It did get rid of most of the black of the tar however! From there, I proceded to use the polish. The polish worked O.K. It made the truck nice and shiny as you would expect. However, putting on the polish by hand is not a good idea even if they give you the kit to do so. It takes alot of effort and especially alot of effort to remove light and medium scratches. Forget about the heavy ones however! I then popped open the wax and waxed the entire vehicle. The wax does a nice job and goes a long way! All in all, it is a great kit! It removed a good portion of my light scratches and paint trades and minimized the medium scratches. It added a very nice shine to the vehicle too! I will definitly reccomend this to anybody who wants a nice shine on there vehicle. However, if you plan on doing it often or quickly, Buy a polisher that buffs and waxes! All in all, it took me close to 5 hours to get the job done!
Good product! It cleans, smoothens, brightens & protects the car paint really well. But application is really cumbersome.
Received with leaking bottle-big mess!
I probably would have recommended this product if I could have used it!
