I am absolutely GRATEFUL for this product. As a recent widow, car maintenance was always my husbands area. Seeing my paint & tires covered in caked on tar broke my heart & upset me. I went to the store in hopes of finding something that would help remedy this problem. Grabbed this bottle, read the label & thought "what the heck, it's worth a shot". My first trip to the store, I purchased 1 bottle. My second trip, I purchased 7 more bottles(everything the store had in stock). I think the outcome is evident in the pictures...no flashy words needed! This product produces EXACTLY what it claims & this automotive-challenged girl THANKS YOU for saving my vehicle!!
I have used this product extensively. As a professional detailer this is my go to for most road tar removal tasks. Spray on, let dwell, heck I've even forgot about it being on lower panels to find it wipes right off or even washes off in the wash bay! Tree sap, road tar, bugs even some stubborn stuff on car interiors. My only complaintois it doesn't come in a gallon jug....or does it?
This does everything it promises to do. I got blacktop (tar) on my Red chev impala LTZ after construction workers forced me thru lanes right after it was poured!! I was livid and sick at the same time. Watched a video by turtle wax on this product and tried it. Felt safe trusting this brand and it worked real well with no problems to the paint. Thank you!! Now if you could just give brains to the workers!
I live in south Louisiana and my challenge are these ever so hated love bugs. What's there to love, all the love they show is covering your car in their guts! But I spot and pick up the turtle wax bug and tar remover to show my cars some true love!
I have been using this product to remove "bug kill' on the front bumper accumulated after driving through country roads. It works rapidly and "wisks" them away.
I've driven 50,000 in 2 years with my Ram 1500, so obviously I get a lot of bugs caked on and dried to the front grill. I've tried everything: soapy water, goo gone, power washing, scraping off the bugs with my literal nails, nothing. Then I used this and it worked like a CHARM! I will say it leaves the spots you're working on very greasy, so use caution with glass and windows. I have to still wash the truck to get the grease off, but I still keep just staring at the grill. Literally it is the cleanest it has been in YEARS.
My family and I had just taken our 2015 Honda Pilot Touring on a 1200 mile road trip and with it being the time of the year it is in Pennsylvania we get a lot of bugs, especially on the cars! I took a good look at it and noticed it was gonna need a little more than a scrub so, I had picked up some of this bug and tar remover. Let me tell you what this had worked like no other! I really liked that it sprayed on a nice thick layer and wasn't runny at all. I was so happy with the results and the super easy process. This blows any other brand out of the water. Once again an another amazing product from Turtlewax!
Had an old bottle of this (not sure how old) that has been working great all summer on my motorcycle and car. It finally ran out, so a I bought another and was shocked to find how poorly it preformed. What ever you did to change the formula go back!!!! I'll be buying another brand if you don't I guess.
Tried using this on both my Audi's. Started with my 2013. Nice cool night here in Maine, 64 degrees. Shook well, sprayed on and waited a minute or two. Went to wipe it off and it etched itself into the clear 3M film. Went into full panic mode trying everything to buff it out and no such luck. Car just had bumper and protective film done 4 months ago and auto body shop said has to be replaced. Be careful when using!!!
Applied as directed, does not work as advertised. I decided to try again with an ample amount of remover and let it stand for 2-3 minutes even though it says 1 minute and it did not remove a single bug from my car. I used Meguiars ultimate wash and wax to finally get the bugs removed using the same method. Bad product.
