What an awesome product! I bought a 2004 Avalanche that was kept outdoors. This product brought back the outside plastic to the original color! Very easy to apply. I don't know how long it will last because I haven't seen a change in over a month. Still looks like the day I used it!
I first tried this on the tires of my 2013 Accord and thought "Yeah, its pretty good", but then I used it on my wife's 2008 CR-V. It has black plastic molding along the whole car, which is very faded and always looks dirty. It now looks fresh and almost like new!!! I was super impressed.
I've tried a few tire gel that claims to restore rubber/trim and lasts a long time. All of them either slings like crazy, smears, or last only a few days. Over the holiday, I took the spare tire out of the bottom of my 2001 Suburban to gain access for a repair, and decided to see just how good Chemical Guys' Tire and Trim Gel really is. Keep in mind that the tire have been hanging under the Suburban since 2001 and exposed to rain/salt/mud, etc. and never got much more than some water spraying to clean off excessive dirts. This tire is as neglected as it comes. In the last picture, you can see some white showing between the lugs. That is how white the WHOLE tire looks when I took it out of the bottom of the Suburban. I gave it a quick scrub with APC and dressed it with one coat of CG Tire and Trim Gel. The rubber turned dark black on contact. I let it sit overnight and wiped off the excess with a towel. The tire in the picture below is completely dry to the touch, and I'm amazed that it worked this well on old tire. BTW, the side on the picture is the side that's fully exposed to the road. I've used this stuff on plastic trims before and it generally last 2 - 3 washes. Which is at least 2X longer than the other tire gel that I've used before. It won't last forever, but it also doesn't run like Tammy Faye Bakker's mascara as soon as water hits it.
This stuff really works on tires and trim...a little goes a long way too.
I'm in love with this stuff! Easy application and just a little bit went a long, long way. This gel trim dressing, combined with the Nice & Wet tire dressing for the wheels and Black On Black for the grille (both MAJOR time savers in their own right!) and my Mini Cooper was show ready, gleaming like a fresh cut diamond from bumper to bumper. Keep up the great work!
I have a 2007 TBSS and this made all the trim around the windows, mirrors and bumpers look like new. Very happy with this product
I used it as directed, a little dab will do ya ! Great product, I will use it as part of my preventative maintenance on my trucks up keep
I was stressed out how the rubber was looking around my car window. when I put on the liquid it made it look like new and I even put it on the roof of my car that it was faded from the sun and on the headlights! this product works really good
Used CG All Purpose Cleaner first. Then using an tire applicator pad used a very sparing amount of T&T Gel. Very Pleased on how little was needed. dries fast.
I keep my car in the sun all day. I kept wondering what was causing the "striped" appearance on my bumpers and trim. I saw the Chemical Guys' ad for the trim gel and decided to give it a try. It is wonderful! 5 out of 5 Stars.
