The American Tourister 5 Piece Softside Luggage Set in Leopard print is exactly what I wanted. The size for me is perfect to fit all my scuba diving gear in plus my clothes, I will not have to sit on my suitcase to get it closed. I was thinking the extra large suitcase was going to be bigger than it is but, I am happy it is not since I am short and it is hard for me to handle a suitcase larger than these.
Very, very nice set. They were bigger than we expected. Only thing I didn't like is that it came with a bag special for a dress or suit and in the picture it just looked like another hard case like I needed but it really isn't no big deal. We made it work
Very nice and sturdy for price
I never used the garment bag and rarely use the boarding bag. I wish there was a set without them. Still they are much cheaper than a set of 3 spinners. They weren't as durable as I expected. But for the price, I would say they are fine. The fabric started ribbing after a few plane trips.
Its priced very well, so many pieces and does not cost you an arm and a leg, these are quite light weight and I have already used them for at least 4 international trips and they are still going strong! These are not the top of the line kind of bags, they don't look fancy and are not feather light or anything! The bags do feel cheaply made, but trust me they still do the job very well.
The luggage came in with the largest piece having a hole in it from the stitching coming undone. I called to get it replaced and they sent me a new set and said that it was supposed to be here the day before my trip. It wasn't. It got her the day of my trip after I was already gone and at my destination. Other then that the new set is very nice and sturdy. Would recommend if purchasing for a trip purchase with plenty of time to return and get a replacement just in case.
I ordered because the 2 big suite cases look alike and I thought I am getting 2 large ones only to find out when they arrived everything came parked in the big one and the second biggest is a lot smaller than seen in the picture. It would be more factual if visually you can actually tell the difference.
Pros are the color is beautiful, the sizes are good. Now, the cons: I used this set for the 1st time last month. The front pocket on the large bag frayed immediately. Like noticed it after I got to the airport! Then with only 45 lbs of weight, it didn't role smoothly. It felt bogged down, had to find a good angle to roll. The medium size held up but the rolling was not good but not as bad as the larger one. The carry on bag was such a nice size and style but when I got home the material on the carry on was seperating. The weave was coming undone. Strange for a suitcase. The rollers on this one did 0k when all 4 wheels were on the ground but not so good gliding with just pulling it on 2 wheels. If I had to do it over, I wouldn't buy this set. There were bunches of good sales during the December month so I could have and should have found a different set.
I bought this set of luggage because I know the quality of American Tourister, however during my first flight with the luggage the 29 inch bag was damaged from it's side. I am very disappointed with the product and the quality.
Bought this specifically for use on a trip and it broke on the very first use on a plane. Two bolts attaching the wheel fell off. Returned and attempting to buy another in hopes i just got a lemon.
