I perform about 90% of all my repairs. I have purchased Walmart brand antifreeze several times over the last few years at a small savings every time. I've never had any issues and would definitely recommend it.
This is a Great Value in Antifreeze / Coolant for the money. Protects 10 years / 150,000 miles without the excessive cost of "name brand" coolants / antifreeze. Be sure to save an empty jug to pour 1/2 into and mix with 1/2 gallon of distilled water for TWO jugs of 50/50 coolant. Runs well and a GREAT value vs. buying "pre-mixed" 50/50 coolant jugs.
I have now classic cars that are 25 years old and a 30 year old running with the green stuff ... for the price at walmart,, is essentially your best deal .. and you mix this with water yourself ,, now how hard is that .. unless you are just a sofa type guy ..
I don't know if people are lazy or just don't get the concept of 50-50 mix you buy one gallon of concentrate for $9.99 versus a 50/50 mix for like let's say eight or $9 I've seen them for sometimes more and people don't realize that you're getting two gallons for $9.99 here is it that hard to add a gallon of water?
Super Tech Antifreeze works as well as any of the leading brands for nearly half the price! I had been using Prestone for nearly thirty years, but due to the cost of antifreeze increasing dramatically, I switched over to Super Tech. Since then my engines have run just as cool as they had with Prestone, and after servicing the cooling system in my Explorer and Civic, I have found that this coolant also protects the engine and radiator just as well. I have no rust or corrosion in the system at all!!!
I always buy pure antifreeze. Why pay 50% water?
I figure the best antifreeze on the market is prestone. I usually buy prestone, but several years back I started using super tech anti freeze and I would rate it as equivalent to the best. The best part is it's cheaper than prestone and just as good. I only buy super tech antifreeze now.
As good as name brands and it's cheaper
A good universal antifreeze at a price that is hard to beat. Willing to bet their antifreeze comes from the same spigot as the majors..... I have been using the Super Tech branded products for several years in my automobiles. They seem to perform well, and I have had no issues.
I've been using this antifreeze for years but lately it seems different. it's a lot lighter in color like it's already diluted, like really diluted, a very pale, clear, barely green tinted fluid. but I'm still adding water per the directions, the leak is so bad not sure if it's really making much difference anyway. anywho, not sure if they've changed the product or making bad batches or what's going on.
