Something changed. I miss the “orange one” - not for sensitive skin. This feels like a new formula that leaves a residue when I used it. It doesn't foam and I have to use a lot of product.
I would give this ZERO STARS if I could! I have used the C&C Foaming Facial Cleanser for DECADES and was a happy, loyal customer. One day I noticed the product changed from orange to clear and it was okay, but different. Next time I was forced to purchase this replacement formula because it was all that was available and I shopped 4 different stores! I had not realized the formula was had changed AGAAIN until I used it and it's HORRIBLE! It does not lather up, it feels like oily slime, does not clean my face and is extremely difficult to wash off. It made my skin feel I never washed it and I began to break out within a few hours. Why change a great product??? I was a regular customer for over 30 years but now I am trying all kinds of new products from other brands. Once I find a good one, I'll buy it faithfully and never come back to Clean & Clear... unless you bring back the ORIGINAL FORMULA. You see all the one star reviews here on your site and other websites and they're all from regular, loyal customers like me who have used the product for decades. Honor us and bring the original back! Whoever dreamt up this nightmare formula should be fired immediately! F-
I've been using it since college (a couple decades). Now the formula has changed it's terrible. Watery and doesn't dissolve the oil on my face, that was the whole point. Now it doesn't work. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
I've been using the regular version of this product for many many year. Now it's no where to be found so I tried the “sensitive skin” formula. It is horrible, watery, and leaves behind a horrible residue. The original soap is the only soap that keeps me from getting acne, so now I'm breaking out at the age of 49! Please consider bringing back the original formula that was actually orange and actually cleaned your face. I have looked high and low for it at every store.
This used to be a great facewash, but now it seems to be incredibly watery. I now have to use multiple pumps to get some semblance of the lathering/foaming effect, and it still is somehow not enough. Not only that, but it is making my skin break out now which never used to happen with this product. Incredibly disappointed. DO NOT BUY!
No foam. Leaves residue. Sucks. Why monkey around with a product that isn't broken? Bring back the old orange that works. I became a new customer of yours two years ago when another company making a great product discontinued theirs. Now I have to start a new search for something that's works.
I have used this product for decades, as has my wife. They changed from the original to a clear, watery, non-foaming 'sensitive' cleanser that is straight garbage. It is bad and you should feel bad for stealing people's money.
I have been using this product for years and loved it. I just bought another bottle and it appeared to have some separation in it. I returned it a week later and bought another bottle that looked fine. Started using it and it is not the same product as it used to be. I needed two full pumps to get it to foam up where it used to take a half pump. Unless I read something to change my mind, I am going to search for a new brand.
I have read other reviews and am pleased to see I am not the only one who noticed the change in ingredients. So let me break it down though. I attached data that shows discrepancies in ingredient listing. Before, fragrance was listed. It no longer is. Additionally, there are 3 new ingredients that are actually harmful. The first is more damaging to sensitive skin. And the next 2 alter the thickness AKA WATER DOWN THE PRODUCT. Sharing for everyone to know and wondering why cheaper ingredients are used but the price of the product increased? Before Change Products Sodium (Glycol) Distearate: personal care products and cosmetics used to produce pearlescent (color) effects and moisturizer. Fragrance: smell After Charge Products Sodium Laureth Sulfate: cleansing agent sometimes contaminated with toxic impurities like 1,4 - dioxane (1) this is sensitive to skin Cocamidopropy| Betaine: reduces static and Moderates the viscosity (THICKNESS) of liquids! PEG - 150 distearate: thickening agent HOWEVER mixed with ingredient PEG: 80 sorbitan Laurate, becomes less effective in thickening hydrogen (water) molecules in products
I've been using this product for so long without any issues until I bought it when the formula changed. The first thing I noticed was the change in color (a bit lighter than before) and after looking into to see if there was any change, it was the ingredient. The next thing I noticed was that there was very much less foam when trying to build up a lather with my hands. In all seriousness, it just looks like the company tried to water down the product to increase profits. Someone from the company should really look into this... Read your recent reviews.
