Lactaid fast act helps prevent the gas, bloating, or diarrhea that many people may experience after eating foods containing dairy. How does Lactaid fast act supplement work? Lactaid helps prevent symptoms by breaking down milk sugar (lactose) and making dairy foods easier to digest. It is not a drug, but a dietary supplement containing the natural lactase enzyme. Lactaid works naturally and may be used by everyone ages 4 years and up. Why is Lactaid fast act better than ultra? Lactaid starts working quickly, so more milk sugar (lactose) can be broken down overall. Lactaid starts working more than two times faster than any ultra strength product available. Same convenient single pill dose. How do you use Lactaid fast act supplement? Swallow 1 caplet with your first bite of dairy food. If necessary, you may swallow 2 caplets at one time. If you continue to eat foods containing dairy after 30-45 minutes, we recommend taking another caplet. How often can you use Lactaid Fast Act Supplement? Lactaid Fast Act Supplement may be used every time you eat foods containing dairy. Can be used with every meal and snack, every day.

Please add nausea as a side effect, took some around 3-4 hours ago and now I'm feeling dizzy with the envy to vomit. I wouldn't want to be biased and be affected by other reviews but I feel like voicing my concerns is important in this case. Thank you !
My mother bought this pill for me as I recently found I was lactose intolerant. She made my favorite dish of hers, poppyseed chicken casserole and I was so happy I could eat it. Though soon after I ate I felt really sick. I thought I had just not had enough of them due to that fact I only took 1 pill. Now I am extremely nauseous and my stomach hurts bad. Not to mention, I've had severe diarrhea. This did not help, and this lactaid pill almost ruined my favorite meal. Am currently dealing with the consequences of this product:(
So glad I took this pill before I got in a train to the city. I ate my sandwich and now there's high chance I'm going to vomit all over the train car. I thought I could make till at least 50 before pooping my pants as an adult, but that life goal is in jeopardy today. I'd rather take my chances with the lactose.
I took Lactaid fast act a couple of times without incident. Then, on the 3rd day, I started to get extremely shaky and nervous. By the end of the day, I had the most severe headache I've ever had. It felt like I had a really bad fever, though my thermometer showed normal body temperature. Then, the pain spread around. The entirety of my gums began throbbing and the pain spread to my teeth and jaw which made it virtually impossible to move my mouth. I then began having the shakes, the same shakes you'd have during a severe fever (though again, no actual fever). When I got home from work, I realized that my eyes were bloodshot red and I had no appetite. Finally, I excreted some of the weirdest looking waste I've ever seen in the toilet. The symptoms continued through the night despite already realizing it was the Lactaid and stopping entirely. By the next morning, the sore throat was so bad I thought I had strep throat. Finally, by mid-day most of the symptoms had gone away except for the excruciating headache and loss of appetite. Good lord. This is a lactase supplement which should be harmless. I've never had a reaction this severe to any prescription drug. Will NEVER even touch a Lactaid package again. Wow.
Like many on this thread, I have experienced severe nausea and vomiting with the Lactaid Fast Act- Extra Strength capsules (as recommended by my physician). I was hoping that it would be the answer for me but it is definitely not. Will not be taking again.
I would not recommended I was throwing up for hours couldn't fully sleep and just horrible shakes
I have used lactaid milk products without issue, so I bought this a week ago or so to try it and regret it completely. Like others in these reviews, I experienced severe nausea and vomiting a few hours after taking lactaid fast act, and it took a few times to connect the dots. There is NO excuse for failing to list nausea and vomiting as a potential (if uncommon) side effect on the box when they've received as many reviews like this one as lactaid has. If only I had read these reviews before I took it, then I would have only had to suffer once before realizing that lactaid fast act is not for me.
People around the country are getting sick from this crap. my fiancé ended up vomiting the entire night because of this. So PLEASE ADD A SIDE EFFECTS OR WARNING TO THIS CRAP.
Within 5-10 mins of taking this, my stomach wasn't feeling well. I started to get severe stomach pain and felt very nauseous. Soon after, I started vomiting. I still feel nauseas and still have bad stomach pain. I do not recommend this!
I don't know if it's just the Fast Act lactaid or what, but every single time I take one, I get severe upper stomach pains, like doubled over ready to cry pain... And really really bad nausea. Not sure why. But I'm done with these. I'd rather have the diarrhea.
