The DampRid Hi-Capacity Moisture Absorber is a fast, easy and effective way to control moisture in areas that remain confined and damp over time. It helps to eliminate the stale smell that is most associated with mold and mildew. By neutralizing the air and refreshing it with a clean, fresh scent, DampRid's moisture-absorbing crystals effectively control musty odors caused by excess moisture. Depending on the temperature and exact moisture conditions, it can work for up to 60 days for areas up to 1000 sq ft and up to 6 months for a 250 sq ft area.

I love Damp-Rid because it works! I have a walk-in closet that used to get a bit of mildew on the ceiling. Since using this product, I no longer have that problem. This size lasts over 6 months and there is no mess - it is covered by a layer of membrane and water can't spill out of it. I also have on in the garage. It is great to buy a product that actually does what it says it will do!
We close our condo in South Florida for 6 months. In the past few years, we left the AC running at 75F , and put a 4 lb container of DampRid in each room and found no mold, no damage when returned.
We use this along with a dehumidifier for a rather large basement. Works great. Absorbs moisture well
perfect for musty cellar
Love these products! they really work! keeps my RV smelling good and free of mold while it sadly waits to be used again!
This product works perfect - they also make the hanging bags and they really do capture any moisture in the area. I prefer the unscented as the scents are fairly strong. It shipped well too!
Have used this item in several places - my laundry room, closet, and even my car when rain through an open window left the inside damp. I love DampRid!
I use DampRid in my motorhome when it's parked and not in use. I put one in the front end inside and one in the back end inside. It keeps mildew down and keeps the motorhome smelling nice. It also works good in my home's basement when we are gone in the motorhome. I put one in every room of the basement. I know of nothing else that works as good as DampRid.
This stuff is great.
I've ordered three of the high capacity moisture absorbers since late May, and the first one was outstanding! I used it in a discreet corner of my living room to fight dampness/humidity and mild mildew odor that cannot be avoided in my old building (NJ summers are gross.). It smelled WONDERFUL, for almost six weeks. I've used these before, and it performed as expected in terms of keeping moisture to a minimum. HOWEVER, the second absorber does not have the same wonderful fragrance; it's barely there at all. I kept the product tightly sealed and stored in a dark, cool, and dry area. I don't know what happened, and I'm very disappointed. I've used DampRid successfully for 15+ years in my closets, and I swear by the brand. I don't like leaving a negative review, but I'm really bummed. I can already smell the faint musty/mildew coming from the corner... I haven't used the third absorber yet because I'm worried it may be a dud too. Any thoughts?
