Being one of the top Cobra radio's is was no surprise that the sound quality is top notch. Mounting was made easy by having everything I needed in the box. The only thing I had trouble with was adjusting the antenna/SWR reading. The radio is quite sensitive to high SWR readings. Once everything was setup, it has performed flawlessly. The Blue-Tooth feature comes in handy for hands free talking.
This is a replacement for a Cobra 29XLR I purchased 34years ago. The quality is still there with this product. It has been working great for me so far. I love the bluetooth & weather on this one. Keep up the good work Cobra. The shipping to my house was very quick & it made it easy on me & my wallet. Thanks Walmart.
I have been in the trucking industry for over 20 years. To start with, the Cobra 29LTD classic series, is and has been considered the top radio by all, it is the truckers standard. The adding of the Blue Tooth is awesome. With the new laws on holding and using cell phones while driving has forced us all to do something with a headset/blue tooth. And wearing a headset or the dreaded "blue ear cockroach" for 12 to 16 hours a day is extremely uncomfortable. Driving in a noisy dump truck all day makes it extremely difficult to hear and even worse to have others hear you. The noise canceling microphone works flawlessly and you can turn up the volume on the radio to hear the other party as well. One touch answering makes it a breeze to answer incoming calls. The weather band is an excellent feature as well. The radio was turned off the the day and NOAA issued a tornado waring for the area I was in and the radio turned on to give me this alert automatically. You can not go wrong with the Cobra 29LTD in any of it's configurations. It is and always will be the considered the trucker radio. This radio is EXTREMELY easy to set up and tune to your vehicle, mine was in and the SWR's set in less that 30 minutes. And lastly, I do have several other radios by other manufactures, that have been "peaked and tuned" meaning they put out way more power and cost 3 to 4 times as much, but none are more reliable or have the "sensible" features like the blue tooth. Want a dependable, all around, general purpose radio that any CB shop can work on and add "features" to, this is it.
first radio was defective and Walmart was good about replacing it in a timely fashion. The radio has a blue tooth feature pared with your phone which works and sounds great but sometimes is a little finicky about working together unless you open the phone. Yet other times there is no problem at all. Haven't had it long enough to really use the other features. Over all it seems good.
