Great clear color,day or night
Purchased this Crimestopper SV-5420-IR.C camera along with my new Kenwood DNX9980HD Navigation Head Unit for my Camry XLE. Wow! What a combination! If safety and the convenience of a backup camera is your goal, this is a great option. I asked my installer (with over 20-years of experience), UnderGround of Sarasota,FL, which camera he would recommend. He emphatically stated there are other brands out there that are more expensive, but he's been installing the Crimestopper brand for years and only had 5 units that had to be serviced. For his personal show cars, he installs this unit. This is the second camera on my Camera and I have to say I was so impressed when I first backed out of UnderGround's parking lot. The picture is bright, clear, with vivid color. And the wide-view picture is perfect for my cul-de-sac where I have many kids (read toys) running around. I also love the camera when I parallel park -- a must for everyone! The license plate chrome frame is in perfect condition (no pitting) after almost 2 years. I admit, I wax the unit often, but the installer stated he has real good luck with his frame as well. Highly recommend this unit -- you won't be disappointed. JHM
Nice integration of camera into license frame. Adequate instructions. Color may be a little off as mentioned in other reviews, but I think I can make color adjustments with my receiver to impove it. I have a 350Z, so license sits pretty low, but View Area Is fine. I attached to power from ignition, so no need to be in reverse gear to view. Great price
Camera picture quality as good as cameras costing more money. Installation (replacement of existing camera) was quick and without problems. Highly recommended.
