I have one of these installed in a custom T-Line Box 4âx2âx17â thatâs in the back of my 95 Ford Ranger. Thereâs no other sound sustem that can even come close to the bass this has for the price. My cousin canât beat the bass with (2) 12â Rockford Fosgate P3D2-12 pushed by a 3000watt amp. I broke the sub in with the 600w per channel home stero in the garage and even at max volume it still doesnât distort this Subwoofer..
Good sounding Subs I got 2 of them wired to 2 ohms my amp is pushing 1125 Watts the subs R rated for 2500 RMS is 1250 as long as you stay within the manufacture specs the subs will play very good and are very loud
I've been a Boss Audio Sub-woofer man since my low-rider days as a teen. The Phantom series do what they say, but you have to remember to break them in, period! Don't wire them down to 1 ohm. I bought two Phantom 10" subs three yrs ago and they're still going strong. So, I decided to put them in my wife's Tahoe (mine). I put the 15" p156dvc's (2) in my Cadillac. Set-up up everything proper and I'm back to setting off alarms like I use to do in the old days. Product works fine for me and at this price. They can't be beat.
I'm having mixed emotions about this speaker. You get what u pay for, I guess. I mean don't get me wrong. The speaker does its job. VERY GOOD speaker. Really no complaints about it. But it does not give that TUMP that a $500 speaker would give. So like I said.... Is not a bad speaker. You wanna ride around ur neighborhood in upset ppl with loud music. And vibrate a couple windows. Good job, you're gonna win. But dont try to go to no music competition though. I believe u will blow these speakers before u can even enter.
Sounds great, pushes hard deep bass, looks good enough to display. The only downside is that it says it can hold 2500 Watts, but when hooked up to a 2500 Watt amp at only 75% maximum output, I still ruined the sub. It sounded great until then though.
The sub could sound a little better than it does, it's just a little bit louder then the 12 inch i had in before but it's not bad, at least u can hear me coming down the street before I get close to you.
Work's wonderful sounds nice i will order more of them soon.... But it's one thing i feel about the UPS delivery wish they will at least ring door bell to let the customer know it has arrived before just leaving the package by the door... but other then that great service in great item...
I've had 2 of these for like 2 months now, I'm only pushing 2,600 watts total so that's 1,300 watt to each, both are “5000 watts max”. I was listening to them today and smelled some burning and I put my backseat down to see smoke rolling out of my port. Would not recommend these, but would recommend any newbie speaker-heads out there to learn about speakers and amps, and what everything means before they just go buy some because they're big. Note that the pictures below are about 3 minutes after I turned them off and let the seat down so they were smoking way more when I first had to turn them off.
Cheaply made , overpriced toy subwoofer with paper former and 2" coil , watch Bassnsane on YouTube for details.
I had two 15s and they were 2500 watt a piece and i had a 3000.1 massive amp hooked to them and my amp was only turned up a quarter of the way on the gain and the bass and i blew them. so i reordered them because they did sound good, so i tried breaking them in first and low andbehild i blew them again. ill never order boss again
