It kept my car battery charged while it was parked for 10 days at the airport in sub zero weather. I just plugged it in to the cigarette lighter outlet and put the panel on the dash
On time. Works well, and easy to install.
Just started using it 01/01/2017 got to see if it works ok
The SP-400 works great, just be careful- in full sun it outputs 23.5 volts which will fry your 12 volt battery unless you use a charge controller.
Something in my vehicle is drawing power and the battery drains after about 4 days on non-use. Purchased this charger along with the matching overcharge/discharge protector. After reading the manual, it says it is not to be used in the car (unlike the picture on the Walmart website). The panel must be ventilated and they even suggest putting it outside the vehicle. This is not an option when you are parked at an airport, an apartment complex or other public area. I'm not sure how this is even accomplished without crushing the cables in the door. ... Returned for a refund.
