I iron everything so I have been ordering the digital advantage steam iron, but I decided to go all out and get the professional iron. They are both Irons but It would be great if a coupon would be sent for the next time I order.
I love this iron, not like my grandmothers iron
I received this about 2 weeks ago and after reading the owners manual I had my wife put it to work ironing right away I filled the water tank and plugged this iron in and the power indicator light came on along with a beeping sound I then set the digital temperature which has settings from 1 to 7 and the display showed both the fabric type and setting number till it was heated up and then I went about ironing some fabrics and this is one awesome high tech iron from its back lit LCD display on the top of the handle to the digital power/temperature controls with vertical steam dial and variable steam output to its comfort grip soft handle auto shut off and its auto clean system the biggest thing is when she when using the steam to always make sure the water fill tank is full for max steam efficiency and with this iron having a little weight to it that made ironing/pressing easier we are highly impressed and happy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I was so happy to receive this Iron for review. Sorry it took so long to review as medical reasons. This Black and Decker iron warms up quickly and throws steam out for the entire process of ironing. It totally takes out all wrinkles leaving your clothes wrinkle free. I really enjoy the digital buttons on this iron , so much easier to run and easier to tell when it's off instead of having to make sure you unplug to make sure it is off. The quality of work this iron does people would be really impressed. I found that this iron has worked the best for me out of any iron I have ever worked with. Another thing I liked is it auto shuts off if left on with not using it. I love that feature because with kids you get busy and forget you had it running and least you know that safety feature is there. I would highly recommend people purchase this really impressive Iron by Black and Decker. Good quality for sure and if I ever have to get a new Iron , I would purchase from Black and Decker before choosing any other Iron. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Even if the water reservoir isn't full, it still sloshes water out of the water fill opening. There should be a plug or guard so that the water doesn't slosh out.
The iron heats evenly, easy to use and nicely weighted. Steam and sprays are even. The only problem is the cord storage when not in use. I would have said excellent and top of the line besides the cord. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This model iron replaced a much more expensive Rowenta that I had for just a couple of years. The Rowenta was heavy and clunky and then began to spit big water splotches on my sewing fabric. I have had the Black & Decker D2030 iron for over 5 years and it has only just recently begun to spit water splotches. If I don't fill it to the max and iron gently and don't get in a hurry, no water puddles - but sometimes I forget or I get in a hurry. I'm not replacing it any time soon because I love the weight and feel of this iron.
I never thought ironing was a thing that needed to be done but since I received this product to test for free, I figured I'd give it a go. I did get most of the wrinkles out of pants that haven't been wrinkle-free since the day I bought them which was nice. However, the iron doesn't seem to get the wrinkles out completely in some tougher areas like waistbands and seams. It a good little iron but I wouldn't rave about it. My wife bought the Digital Advantage Iron in March, 2013 and it's been one of the best irons she and I have used...until the past few days when the power for the iron started cutting off if the 360 deg. PIVOTING power cord moved to a certain position. Anxious to see what Customer Service Has to say.
When you turn the iron on, it does not begin to heat up. You have to begin ironing for it to warm up. Obviously, the first few minutes of ironing is a waste of time because the iron is cold. When it finally heats up, it's fine--but you can't do something else while you're waiting for it to preheat.
