We bought this when we remodeled our kitchen. Vented it outside and it works great. We love the auto heat build up feature, if you get to much heat it will raise the fan speed until it cools down and then go back to your original setting. The auto off timer too. We have had many compliments of how it looks in our new kitchen. No regrets at all!!
I find I use the fan at the lowest setting ALL the time in my kitchen (a ventilation cul de sac) and the lights on the 2 lower settings most often. At the middle and high settings the fan is louder than I might wish, and the highest setting on the lights is brighter than I can imagine ever needing over the stove. Over all, though, this unit is a HUGE improvement on anything I've ever had before!
Ours is not a vented unit but it looks and works great. Very pleased with the ease of installation.
The features on this product are great. The lighting is great along with the quiet fan .
I love the bright lights. I really like the feature where the fan turns on automatically and then turns itself off when the stove cools off. The fan is easy to clean. I have had the Broan for 3 years and it still looks like new. the fan is very quiet. It was easy to install. My husband did not want to buy it. He thought it was too expensive, but now he loves the Broan, especially the bright lights.
I LOVE BROAN PRODUCTS. THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY TO NOT USE LED LIGHTS, BUT THEY ARE THE FUTURE IN LIGHTING. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH LED BULBS AND THEY LIGHT ON ALL THREE LIGHTING STAGES. THE FAN IS VERY QUIET. THE ONLY FAULT I HAVE NOTICED IS THAT THE EXHAUST FILTERS ARE AT THE REAR OF THE UNIT AND DON'T SUCK UP THE SMOKE IF COOKING ON THE TWO FRONT BURNERS VERY WELL. THE FILTERS ARE LARGE COMPARED TO MY OLD RANGE HOOD AND ARE EASY TO REPLACE OR CLEAN. OVERALL, AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT. I HAVE A BROAN EXHAUST FAN IN MY BATHROOM. IT IS ALSO QUIET AND EFFICIENT.

We like the three position dimmer switch for the lights, but they could be brighter and easier to install. We especially like the quietness of the exhaust fan, but it was difficult to install because the flange on the vent is not wide enough to make a tight seal. The result is that a lot of the exhausted air leaks back into our kitchen. We tried sealing it with tape, but there is no room to completely cover the leaky area with tape. This leak is due to a design flaw in the exhaust system.
product sticks out farther than our old broan keep hitting my flipping head on it.
Installed as part of a complete kitchen remodel and upgrade a little over two years ago. Fan will not operate, needs new circuit board. Quoted $176.00 just for the board. Add cost of service call and additional labor and it is obviously more economical to buy a new one with a warranty.
