After reading the reviews I decided to give this a try. I just moved into an apartment without washer connections and I didn't want to go to the laundramat. My boyfriend set it up for me in about 20 minutes. It seemed very easy for him. The manual was helpful and all possible needed parts were included. As far as washing goes, it does a great job. I am a massage therapist and so I wash lots and lots of sheets. I have had this washer a week and have done about 6 loads a day. It hooks up quickly, washes a load in about 30 minutes (on quick wash) and really gets the clothes clean. In a normal washer I am able to wash three sets of twin sheets at a time. With this washer I can wash one set of twin sheets at a time. It also washes at one time: two pair of capris, two t-shirts, tank top, two pairs of socks, and two pair of underwear, and even a light jacket. Washed it all no problem! I have had no leak problems and no balanced load problems. Since I have only had this a week I can't comment on durability, but this machine appears to be very well made. I expect it to give me years of service. As for the pictures, one shows the hook up to the sink and the other shows inside the drum with one hand towel in it. I would also like to comment that the shipping on this item was very minimal and it was so well packaged I thought they sent the wrong item. It came box within a box with a huge amount of bubble wrap. Thanks Wal Mart!
The first washing machine I had bought broke down on me the second day, what a bummer but I brought it back to the store and a week later I had another one, am totally happy now. I read the other reviews before I purchased so I knew what to expect during set up, my only problem was leakage at the water inlet I did not realize that I had to put the washer inside the water connect to the machine, so now no more leakage. Clothes are absolutely sparkling!! Now I want to get the dryer.
i purchased this washer about a month ago and i love it. it fits well in my very small laundry room, and washes perfectly. it is a little loud when on final spin cycle, but it really gets the job done (no drips when u take clothes out). my household is small (2 people), so this fits our lifestyle. i use it every other day, and i can't tell you how happy i am with NEVER visiting the laundromat again!!! now i'm saving up to buy the compact dryer that haier makes. this is a well-manufactured product. downsides: only hot or cold, no warm water feature; somewhat 'noisy' spin cycle, though the rest of the time this is a quiet machine. i'm very satisfied with this purchase. i used site-to-store and it arrived within 3 days of placing online order (fast delivery!). it's amazing how one product can make such a huge difference in your life!
I live in a small apartment do not have a hookup for washer or dryer and hate the laundromat so decided to shop the internet for portable washers and they were very expensive! I got an email ad from Walmart showing this washer so I checked it out. I was very impressed with the description and price so I ordered it for site to store pickup. I have only used it a couple times but was very pleased with the results. Only complaint was lining up the bottom plate when setting it up. The holes are not drilled correctly so be prepared to adjust! Other than that I have no complaints I will check back later when I have used it more!
I've had my washer for about a year now. I really love it. No trips to the laundromat or washing out my clothes in the bathtub and I can wash whenever I want. I live alone but use it almost everyday. The utilities seem to be real good too...haven't noticed any change in my bills using it. I have been very satisfied with this purchase.
When I found out about this product I ordered it the next day and I have been washing every day i needed to have a washer in the apartment I have a small apartment and space is very important for me it fit right in the corner it washes well just don't over load it looks much bigger online I had a hard time putting it together I suggest using a power drill the holes at the bottom did'nt line up well and I had only a philliphead so it took a while to get the plate on the hose for the sink leaks a little water just wrap somthing around it It bet's going to the laundromat
I got the machine home last night and within an hour had the first load of laundry running in the machine. My experience setting up the machine was about the same as most of the reviews describe. The most challenging task was attaching the metal plate to the bottom of the washer. The plate is well-marked to correctly attach (bulge faces the floor and an arrow points to the FRONT) but the six screw holes in the plate did not align exactly to the corresponding holes on the bottom edge of the washer. Using an electric screwdriver did the trick. The users manual was sufficiently illustrated and is about as well-written as any other booklet for an appliance. I did find one minor problem setting up my washer. The water supply hose can be attached to a sink faucet with a quick-release coupling that is included. you need to attached a coupling to your sink faucet. The instructions include an illustration of threads on a faucet which can be either "inside" or "outside threads. the quick-release coupler is (i think) inside threads. if your faucet outside threads you must use a thread adapter to connect the quick-release coupler. the instruction suggest that this thread adapter is included but it is not. I happened to have one on-hand (from a Brita faucet filter system) so i was able to proceed, but if i hadn't found it it would have meant a trip to a hardware store. A small detail, but since the instructions list this part as included it would have been frustrating not to have it. The washer is described as having a 6.6 pound capacity. I decided to weigh my laundry to see what 6 pounds of laundry look like. In my (so far limited) experience the washer can handle a load of 5 pounds approximately. The four 6-pound loads of laundry that I've tried placing into the washer seemed too much. My previous washer was a standard-sized top loading machine: The 5-pound loads that I've washed have been about half what my previous (full-size) washer. I still need to find a convenient way to secure the drain hose into by shower. Another reviewer mentioned using a suction-cup with hook on the wall of the shower to hang the drain hose. I am planning to find something like that myself. The machine is quiet and the "Normal" cycle takes about 40 minutes. The laundry is VERY clean. The spin cycles do a very good job getting enough water out of the clothes to hang-dry over night. I've been using 1-oz of High-Efficiency liquid detergent for each load. It seems to make a difference if you add the liquid to the empty washer, start the cycle (you can have the lid open while the water fills) then add the clothes to the washer as it fills up. I like to use clod for rinse, and this makes it easy to turn the sink faucet to cold once the washer stops filling with water. Notes on Walmart: The price from Walmart was better than Amazon by about $20. At Walmart I payed sales tax which I suspect Amazon would not. I used the "Ship-to-Store" service and was very happy. The washer was ready for pickup about 4 days after my order. The pick-up dept. people at the Oakland CA Walmart were very friendly and I was out the door within 30 minutes. My washer has a small dent along the right front edge. I know I could take it back for a new one but it is not so bad and doesn't affect the use of the washer so I am just going to live with it. So far I am VERY pleased with this purchase. I need a small washer that could be stored away easily when its not being used. For the price this machine has a lot of nice features. But most importantly it does a very good job getting the clothes clean.
Very bad service and has problem on bottom plate. At first tim, it has problem on bottom plate(can not fit in on washing machie) and I retured it and buy again, but the probelm still exist. outbo look dirty did not like brand new
I have to say “Don't buy this product due to poor quality; don't buy any Haier product due to bad customer service”. It was broken in 3 months. After I called Haier customer service, they asked me to send them some evidence and $14.99 processing fee, they will exchange. They told me it needs 10-15 days for processing after the day they get my materials. My letter arrived in May. After around 20 days, I called them to check its status. The person told me they didn't get anything from me. Thank goodness, I used register letter, not normal 1st class letter. I could track my letter. I told him my letter had ready delivered long time ago, and gave him the tracking #. Then he admitted they got my letter. He told me he put it in their system, and needs 10-15 days for processing. After 2 weeks, I called them again. They told me it's in process, and would ship my washer in next week. On the next Friday, I called again. They told me it's in process, and would ship my washer in next week. On the next Friday, I called again. What did they say? They told me they didn't get my letter at all. There's nothing in their system. Then how those persons told me it's in process? I told them the tracking #, but same circle happened again. After several calls, they told me again that they didn't get anything from me at the beginning of July. After I talked with their supervisor, they told me my washer would be shipped out in 10-15 days. I called again around July 20th. They told me it would be shipped out next week. I called in the next week. They told me it would be shipped out next week. After several calls again, however, it's not shipped out until today. Interestingly, my check was cashed in July.
After reading so many good reviews I ordered and got this product on Thursday, put it together. Saturday was my 1st wash. Machine washed the clothes, emptied the wash water but would not rinse and spin. 4 calls to the manufacturer to troubleshoot, "oh we're sorry you will have to return this product it is defective", the manual says do not return to retailer. "We can ship you a new one but you will have to pay shipping and handling." I didn't even get one use out of it and I have to pay a fee to the manufacturer. I don't think so. Needless to say I am returning the unit to Walmart to avoid shipping charges as well as for refund and will not purchase another Haier product ever. BTW only a 90 day warranty from manufacturer. That speaks volumes. Too bad warranty was not stated in the online ad.
