I just got my computer armoire put together and it looks awesome. I have looked at similar products that were far more expensive that did not look as nice as this one. My computer is in my bedroom and I wanted something I could close to keep everything out of sight when not using my computer. This worked perfectly and matches my sleigh bed!
This product is really versatile, especially if you live in a small space as I do, because it really maximizes space - especially vertically since it is tall. The only quality-related thing is that it is made of particle-wood, not solid wood, so if any chips or dents occur it won't look very nice and the particles might start to fall out. That's just my opinion, but considering the price we paid for it, it's a good buy.
After my husband got the courage to put it together the finished product was beautiful. Everyone who see it think I paid $500 or more. I am an organizational buff so I am totally loving all the compartments and when I'm too tired to clean up after I finish I can just shut the doors. LOVE IT!!!!!
Takes about a day to assemble, but worth it when done. Make sure you follow all the directions and don't jump around as with most products of this type you will put together the opposite of what you think. Says you must be home to accept delivery but I found it by my front door. Comes in two boxes, about 100 lbs each so it is heavy. Makes a nice piece of furniture!!!
We looked for this forever, but everything we kind of liked, was very expensive. This product was very reasonable. Big enough to store some stuff and shallow enough to not invade the whole room. Down side is that it cost over 1/3 the price to get it delivered. I wish I could have bought it at WalMart and carted it home myself.
We are getting ready to sell our home and was looking for a desk that would hide the mess that normally accompanies a home office. This product not only was very affordable but is very durable and sturdy. Both my husband and I love the look of it and how it is able to hold everything that we had in a much larger desk. It was time consuming to put together and the directions were a little difficult to follow at times. They recommend that you mark off the boxes as you take care of each item. Read carefully and "mark off each item". Great value for the $$.
Even though this was a very time consuming product to assemble the directions made it very easy. The finished product is very pleasant not to mention functional for its purpose.
It comes in 2, 100 lb. boxes. The delivery service couldnt find my home, although my address was correct. The delivery man left it on the side of my house without offering to help me wheel it into the garage (I was home). It take a good 6-7 hours to put together. It comes with about 50 pieces of wood & 500 screws/nails. The 2D picture directions are not easy to follow. I DO recommend this piece if you like Cherry Wood. It was a steal for $270, as it is advertised at Target for $430. Just make sure that you have someone assemble it who loves these projects & wont mess anything up. Once you lock in the "screws" they dont come out! We are happy with it so far.
We are very happy with our Sauder computer armoire. We also purchased a leather chair from Walmart. We are very happy with both items. The only complaint I would have is that like with most put together items, it took a lot of time, but the end product is great! The chair, of course, took my son very little time, but the armoire took two people with a little directional help from a third! My family were originally going to settle for another computer workstation, which would not match our living room, but we happily found this unit which matched our living furniture perfectly! Thanks.
I brought two of these, one for house and one for apartment. This product is extremely nice looking when you first put it together. I moved each one of my items at least once, and found that each one did not fair very well during the moves (Lots of broken parts). Luckily, they offer a five year warranty for replacement parts. It is unfortunate that Sauder does not offer some type of service to put together their own furniture. When JC Penney sold Sauder furniture there was a toll free number you could call to schedule the product to be put together, but Walmart does not offer such a program - - too bad.
