I bought this for my mother to replace a tacky old tv stand. If you're looking for something thats simple, low priced, and works like its supposed to this is a good buy. It wasn't hard to put together. I did it by myself in about 30-40mins. Instructions were simple. It seems sturdy enough for only $50. I'm about to get another one for my living room.
I needed a stand for my 36' tv and the ones that I was looking at from other stores was either to expensive or two big. One day I decided to checkout Walmart and low and behold I saw this product, so I ordered it and when it arrive, I ask my apartment complex maintenance person to assembly the tv stand for me. I decided to look at the instructions myself and notice that I only need a hammer and a phillip screwdriver. I decided to give it a try and I did it, I was able to assemble this tv stand all by myself and I'm so proud, because there was nothing to it (ok I admit that I had to take it down one time because I had something backward). The only problem I had after I assemble the tv stand was WHO WAS GOING TO LIFT THAT HEAVY 36' TV OF THE FLOOR ONTO THE STAND? :-). Well, that same maintenance person was able to put the tv on the stand and now all is well. My tv is still sitting on that stand. One more thing I love about this stand is that it's black and that 36' tv has a black frame and it looks good. So, if you're looking a nice stand this is it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been eyeing this piece for a couple of years now and purchased it last week. I put it together in about one hour and 10 minutes and it definitely is worth the money. It's very sturdy, does not shake, the black is perfect and makes any room look much cleaner and more put together. I like directions that are easy to follow and these were one of the best that I've ever seen. No parts were missing and the directions are easy to understand. I highly recommend the stand for anyone who doesn't want to pay a lot of money but also wants something that will last.
I purchased this stand because I surprised my husband with a new big flat screen tv for Christmas. We had a 32 inch tv that we purchased 5 years ago that is big, bulky, & heavy. The price was excellent and it is perfect for the weight of the tv. It looks good. We set up a little den off of our large kitchen, our kids watch movies and play games doing it on a 32 in tv. They are out of the living room were the flat screen is. Hurray! I would recommend this to anyone who has a one of those big & bulky televisions. EXCELLENT!!!
This TV stand is better than expected. It was exactly what I had been looking for. I thought it would be smaller but it wasn't which is what I was looking for. It is very spacious and stylish. I highly recommend this TV stand.
I was looking for a cheap yet decent looking tv stand at the same time I was looking at buying a new LCD television. I eventually settled on buying the 42" Vizio LCD (also at Walmart for a great price), and starting looking at stands. I came across this stand, and although skeptical at first, I was sold after all the positive reviews that I read. I ordered with free shipping from site to store, and it arrived in only 3 days! I had a bad feeling that the item would be damaged when I brought the box home, and sure enough when I opened the package the first piece (which happens to be the very top of the stand that the tv sits on) had a badly smashed corner that had broken off. No worries though, Sauder guarantees their products. I simply went to Sauder's website (the instructions are in the owners manual, almost like they expect for this to happen) and within 3 days the brand new piece was shipped to my house, free of charge. Once I got the stand together in about 30 minutes, I was shocked how sturdy and nice the unit looked. I can tell it's designed for a big bulky tv, but my 42" LCD still looks great when put on this stand. The shelves are adjustable and I have plenty of room for my other electronics. If you order this stand, you won't be dissappointed, nothing can beat the price!
This was easy to assemble; it looks good and is fairly sturdy.
I needed to find something to set my 42 plasma television on and I found it. Very nice, very happy I have enough room to put everything in it. Wal-mart is my store to shop
When we needed a new, basic TV stand for our familiy room, this one caught my eye. Nice looks, sturdy (holds 240 pounds), very reasonably priced. Ordered it from Walmart online and received it almost a week earlier than it was promised. Arrived in perfect condition, too. And, I might add, this was the easiest ready-to-assemble furniture assembly I've ever done. Directions were clear, everything lined up...it was a breeze. My only complaint aobut this unit, and the only reason I gave it 4 stars in the "Features" and "Appearance" category: The back of this unit is black cardboard. You nail it on, but still. It's cardboard. I've bought TV stands that were much cheaper than this one that came with a WOOD back. Granted, the wood was about 1/8" thick, but it was indeed wood (or wood fiberboard). This unit comes with a cardboard back that is actually folded in half when you open the box. Just seems kind of cheap. It doesn't show all that much...but I know it's there. If this thing had a wooden back--even a THIN wooden back--I would've given it 5 stars across the board. However, I still love this unit and would highly recommend it to anyone needing a very sturdy TV stand at a reasonable price. It doesn't look or feel cheap like other units. And if you pretend the back is wood, it's perfect!!! :-)
It was a great product for the price however, when I got the box back to my office, carried it up a flight of stairs and began the assembly, one of the pieces of the unit was damaged. Corner was broken off. IT was way too much of a hassle to pack it up, and re-deliver to the store and would have also had a wait getting a new one shipped.
