I've had my bar put together and stocked for about a month. It looks great and I couldn't be happier with the product. I often slide the bar (when open) against the wall and use it as a server for get togethers. The empty space on both sides in the back is a nice conveinence, as I can hide away the bar stools I normally have out in front of it. The one complaint I have is the storage cabinet door. The plastic retractable hinges areawful, but it can be easily fixed with buying a few hinges from your local hardware store. Love the product and I recommend it it anyone looking for a nice, sturdy, well-priced bar to entertain guests.
Great Product and looks like it cost so much more than it did. It took a little time putting it together but it was well worth it. We love it!
I had puchased my portable bar in hopes that it would arrive in time for a gathering at my home. It arrived at my local store in just 4 days! My site to store experience was excellent, in addition, two associates assisting me with loading the product in my vehicle. Being a seasoned veteran in "build at home furniture" (Ikea, Sauder), I was thrilled to see that some of the pieces were pre-assembled with hinges and hardware in place, also all the fastener bags were labeled and included an extra piece! Assembly was straight forward with easy to follow instructions. I was also impressed to find that every surface was stained and finished! The assembled product is solid and attractive. I have to move the bar from the main floor to the basement and the fact that it weighs 147lbs concerned me. The easy solution is to undo 4 fasteners on the bar top and remove, slide the side extenders off and carry the four managable size pieces down the stairs. Before ordering this bar I shopped locally and found comparable units costing three times the price...minimum! I am absolutely thrilled with this purchase and recommend it highly. LOVE IT !
As so many others, we also lost furniture during Hurricane Katrina. I was looking for a replacement bar for the den. I was extremely surprised after the setup. The bar was so much more than what I expected. The color matches the other furniture perfectly. I love the idea that it can be closed, but when fully extended it provides a look of richness. I am totally satified with my purchase. As titled a beautiful addition.
This bar is wonderful. It is much bigger than we expected. And it is sturdy. It was very reasonably priced. We love it. Was a little tricky to put together, but well worth the time!!
I purchased this product after reading the product reviews, so I knew that the color would be darker. That didn't matter to me. I love it...it took abit putting this peice together but it was well worth the time. I can't image my house without it now. I LOVE IT!
I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful craftmanship and solid wood of this bar! I managed to put it together myself while my daughter napped. All of the pieces were labeled and organized very well and it wasn't hard to assemble. They even include extra hardware! The only complaints I would have are that the directions could be a bit more specific, especially with the diagrams, and that when you go to move the bar when it's open it can be a bit challenging to keep together. Besides that, it's gorgeous! You would never know it was so inexpensive!!! I highly reccommend this bar!
We couldn't wait to receive this item - then it arrived with dings and knicks and unbelieveably, a third of the beautiful top hadn't been finished properly, i.e. lacked the final coat of polish or poly or shellac or whatever the other two thirds were finished with. It took a long time to unpack and forever to RE-pack and then we had to haul this 170 pound item back to Wal-mart for return. We would still like to purchase this item but we'll have to purchase it somewhere that we can examine it right there on site.
