I just bought this product yesterday from Walmart. It instantly caught my eye because of the bright turquoise/teal color which is great because it's for my college dorm! My walmart only had this container in the small size, but thats okay because it needs to fit under my bed or in my closet. Anyways, I managed to fit a bunch of stuff (hotpot, crockpot, 2 first aid kits, my sheets, laundry stuff, washcloths and some other odds and ends) into it. The door is also useful to see what I have in there so I dont have to go move a bunch of other buckets around. I plan on buying more!!
I love this product, it was exactly what I needed in my boys room for their toys and stuffed animals. They don't have much room and the more storage the better and I love that they don't have to move them and unstack them to get what's inside. They are very convenient and hold a lot of stuff. I put all 10 of my sons nerf guns in one and it was nice to finally have a place to put them besides under the bed or in the closet. A toy box just doesn't fit or work the same way.
We stumbled across this product last year and now have 6 in our small animal veterinary clinic ~ Companion Animal Hospital in Phenix City, Alabama. We actually pop the access door off and use them for boarding cats. They are the perfect size for cats to sleep in, as well as lounge around on the top. As with all Rubbermaid products, superior quality and easily washed and disinfected between cats. Thanks!!
I use these for my crested Geckos, but I found that they're discontinuing them. I'm super disappointed that I won't be able to find them anymore. I hope rubbermaid will come out with another similar product, or at least another company will come up with something similar...
I ordered two of these containers (medium and large) for use in the office, and it is by far the best kind of tote storage there is. The side-access panels means you can stack containers on top of each other, and still be able to get to any one container without having to lift, put down, lift, replace, etc. And the clear doors make it easy to ID what's inside. I work for an organization that does boatbuilding, and a colleague who is a shipwright pointed out to me that the design also provides rigidity and strength. Am definitely considering getting these for home storage, too!
I use these as enclosures for my crested geckos and they are beyond perfect for this purpose!
I bought 6 of these to organize my grandsons toys. They work great. I put all the small toys into gallon size baggies first, then just toss them into the totes. He can look inside the totes to see exactly what toys are inside. No more dumping out everything onto the floor to find that one special toy.
I've been looking for a cost-effective, practical way to organize my craft room/office. Most storage containers, even if they are see-through, aren't easily accessible. These containers are the ultimate in accessibility, ease in opening and closing, stacking, durable. I saved so much space and money by being about to find what I already have so that I don't have to re-purchase things that I can't find.
I needed specific dimensions when I ordered this bin. The dimensions are measured at the top of the bin, and not the bottom. I didn't realize that it tapers quite a bit to the bottom. I knew it would taper a bit, but it is more than I expected. I don't blame the seller or the product for that, but thought it was important to other consumers. One of the two bins showed up broken. I don't blame the seller, because it could've happened during shipping. A little bit of packing material probably would have prevented the damage. It isn't cost effective to send it back for replacement. I hope the other one doesn't crack easily. The fold down panel on the front is kinda useless. If the bin is full, you can't get anything in or out of it. Also, the panel falls down all the time when I access items from the top. It isn't very secure. I don't expect much since it is plastic, but a latch would be nice. I may just glue it shut since it doesn't really serve a purpose.
I purchased the Extra Small ones and the longest size is listed as 13.93” but as you can see in the photo it is not even 13”. I cannot find the Small size for anywhere remotely the same price or locally! How disappointing as none of my size 12 shoes fit in these. Also these all clear ones seem a little fragile compared to the colored ones.
