This utility cart is just perfect for my kitchen. There is a lot of room on the 3 shelves and it looks very attractive. It was amazingly easy to put together and that is saying a lot because I'm assembly-challenged! I sincerely recommend this utility cart to all your shoppers.
I bought this for my client, I am a caregiver. She had such a mess on the side of her bed. Containing gloves, books, paper work etc. This has helped keep her organized. I can move it out of my way when needed!
I had this cart for well over 10 years, used and abused it daily for hauling heavy files between my many computers, yes including the computers themselves. Had assembled and disassembled it many times to suit the carting needs. Couldn't find another one like it, and forgot brand name and where I bought it! Finally the vinyl started to flake off, and it was like losing an old friend, to throw it out. Then I regretted it more, since I couldn't find it again. Now, 3 years later, I find it here on Walmart while looking up a different Whitmor product! Thank you Walmart! Oh, cleaning hint: use 409 or like cleaner on a papertowel, then lightly rub the paper towel over the unit, to prevent yellowing. You can dunk the shelves, etc. in the tub, but IMMEDIATELY dry them thoroughly. Never soak. Whitmor makes good stuff. But you MUST OBEY the instructions. Secret to stability is the way you put these wire thingies together.
This is a nice large cart! Not for heavy item but good for towels, shoes, etc. Tricky to put together, helps if you have someone to hold one side.
These carts are great!!! They offer good quality and easy maneuverability. I got my first through a neighbor before she moved. Then I went online to search for more, and ordered two. The cart is like a little helper - there at your fingertips. I use one in the kitchen, and two in the garage (I'm reorganizing). They're much too good for just plain "storage". They are like a helping hand! I highly recommend these carts!!
I am very happy with this small cart. It helps me move my medical supplies between my bedroom and my daily room without hauling everything one by one. I have to use different medical machines and it has proven very helpful.
We just got another one of these after having the first one for over 14 years. The reason the first one needs to be replaced is because I left it outside all winter and the vinyl is flaking off the wires. They DO need to be assembled properly or they will be flimsy. It does help to have 2 people to assemble it, but I have put it together by myself many times. You need to make sure to get the little hooks in the right place so be SURE to follow the instructions! That will make or break the usability of this cart, unfortunately. Even properly assembled they are not the sturdiest little carts, but certainly sturdy enough for use in the bathroom, laundry room, pantry, etc. (The photo posted here by another reviewer is very helpful). That said, they come in very handy all over the house and come apart for storage if need be. Originally, I used mine in the bathroom for towels, but later on used it to store my seedlings when I need to move them outside to harden off. (Hence it got left outside one winter). Because of the wheels, I can roll it and the seedlings around the yard to get sun during the day, and then roll the cart under the patio at night to protect them from cooler evenings until planting time. If it's still too cold at night to leave the seedlings outside, I can pick up the whole cart and move the whole thing inside or wheel it into the garage. The little wheels are very handy. I've been looking all over for another one of these and couldn't find it anywhere in any of the stores. I'm so happy I finally found one here online.
Stop! before you rate this product with 1 Star, make sure you assembled it CORRECTLY, It is a very sturdy and a Decent cart. The hooks of the rack go above the 3rd railing on each level, and the rack snaps in above all 3 railings, re-read the directions and inspect the picture provided you will see it. At first glance it doesnt make sense but its there. Make sure everything aligns. Its a wonderful cart that can hold plenty along with weight as well. The wheels are ok.. not the greatest but it depends what you need them for. My husband and I love this cart! totally worth the money! but please please, look at the instructions clearly, if you needed a string to tie yours together, you DID NOT look WELL enough, and try again! I am attaching a photo that shows exactly how each rack is supposed to be placed.
The wheels for this cart are not attached and are loose and fall off when transferring to another room that has a room divider or even when momentarily lifting the entire cart. When the wheels fall off it is also highly difficult to reattach in that the shelves also realign and fall apart. It would have been useful if the wheels were strongly and firmly attached before assembly allowing no chance of coming off during use. The hooks on the side of the shelves could have also been made longer for a strong fit and attachment.
This cart looks so simple to assemble.. NOT THE CASE, the racks like sit on the cross bars with these little things that you have to get all perfectly in place at once to keep it together. The shelves are always coming popped off. It's a terrible product, they should really take it out of the store, I can't believe I paid almost $20 for it.
