This piece is pretty and practical. The wood is much sturdier and heavier than I anticipated, which is a good thing. We've used this storage cubby to create an "in/out zone" in our home, and it works great. If you buy this, be aware that the directions for building the cubby are not that great, so be careful and take your time. It took me and my mom a full day to build this. But, it was worth it!
These are wonderful! I purchased 2 for my mudroom and my kids absolutely love them. They have helped our mudroom out tremendously and the kids know that they have their own space to hang their own coats, backpacks, etc. Highly recommend these. The price is outstanding and they look great! Would be nice if they had site to store shipping for free but since the actually item is so affordable, I didn't mind paying the shipping.
I purchased 2 of these to use with my daycare. I have recommended this product to other daycare homes such as mine. They went together easily, stand up straight no tipping, and I have received lots of positive comments about them. As a child care provider I was worried the kids would play in them - I told them up front no playing inside and they haven't. They are made very strong. The price is the best value I have ever seen on a product as these and I have shopped around for something like this for the last year.
We are building a new house and I am determined to start out with a place for everything and everything in it's place! My kid's (4 and 5) are getting to the age where they are able to help some around the house but need something their size to make it easier for them to help. I did tons of research before I found this product. I was encouraged by the reviews, price, and ship to store option! I was still quite surprised at how nice this is for the price! It looks and feels like a really nice piece of furniture. It is equivalent if not nicer to the similar cubbies at my children's private school! Extremely solid and well made...it has just the right room for jackets, backpacks, lunch boxes AND shoes...! Now I won't have to have them all around the house and have them laying on the kitchen table in preparation for the next day! Now the kids can put things in their cubbies when they arrive home and get them out themselves on the way out the door! No more hunting for stuff at the last minute! Such a time-saver for me!!! soooo excited!!!!!!
This product is exactly what I needed for my 5yr old who is still slightly to short to reach the high rod in my front closet used for coats. This is the perfect place for him to place his back pack, coat and other things for easy storage, and it keeps my living room from looking so cluttered.
Bought two of these. My 10 yr old son put them together w/o trouble. (Good directions!) They are side-by-side in a small space. (My husband trimmed the tops so they could sit flush.) I put baskets on top. (Michael's 50% off.) I don't want shoes inside, to damage the wood-look finish, so I got a carpet runner at Bed Bath and Beyond for $9 to sit in front. I've needed something to organize the coats, shoes, boots and backpacks for awhile. Similar product at Target 3x as much! Love this.
Very functional. Perfect for children. Looks nicer than I expected. Awesome value. I looked at other pricier pieces but this one is perfect for it's purpose at an unbelievable price. My children love using it. No more coats, backpacks, and stuff on the floor!
We are very pleased with our cubbies. I needed something that would help my children get ready for school in the morning and somewhere for them to drop their things when they arrived home. These cubbies accomplished that and they look great. They were shipped in less than a week. My husband put them together in no time. I highly recommend any product from Sauder.
I spent hours looking for a product like this and was unable to find anything that appeared worth the money. When someone told me about this cabinet, I looked it up and ordered it immediately! I bought three for each of my kids and I don't know what I did without it. My first impression was that it was a little smaller than I expected but having used it for a month now, I love it. It is a great value for the price you pay.
I recently purchased this product based on the wonderful reviews, and I would have to agree that it is a good product. It was easy to put together (I did it myself!). I would have to say though, it is really for smaller children due to height. My toddlers can fit their coats and bags on it, but thats about it. Great product.
