This is a beautiful chest and would definitely recommend. Directions say should take one hour for one person to put together and no drill is needed. In fact it took maybe about 4hours to put together and it was two of us. A power drill would make it easier and faster so definitely use one. The directions were a little unclear for one step which had us a little puzzled, but we figuered it out. One piece for one of the drawer assemblies had a split in it, luckily had some wood glue and saved the day. Otherewise there were no other problems. The materials are all genuine wood and beautifully crafted. Its very sturdy and the drawers work smoothly. Very, very nice.
I returned this product because one of the wooden pieces was split/broken. I didn't even go through the rest of the box because the 1st piece was damaged/broken. I was excited because the piece was solid wood until I saw the damage.
