We have an 1864 house with multiple additions. Closets and counter space are few and small. This has allowed us to have LOTS of space. We stacked two units over each other. they do that nicely. The bottom baskets give you room for those things that fall off or out as you can put many small containers in the baskets. The units are very sturdy. No wobbling from having two. If there were any floor space I would have had them stacked on the floor too. My one caution would be to make SURE you measure your counter top as these are roughly 15 x 13". They go about one inch from the lip of our sink. I have various other things for years and they just did not work. this gives us a place for many things and we have the other side of the sink work space. GREAT value for the price and I feel as though I have one more touchdown on this 150+ years lady. Plus this has given her a decided touch of elegance.
I moved into a new house this year and none of the bottom cabinets had shelves, it was just big cavernous spaces with no ability to organize. Most of the custom shelves I was seeing had to be afixed to side walls but all my cupboards are just wide open under the cabinets with the side walls being 4-6 ft apart so when I found Whitmore 30" wide shelves and this stacking shelf basket all my problems were solved. I use the basket shelf to store potatoes and onions in...this shelf and the 30" inch shelf fit perfectly under my island and provide the perfect amount of room to organize applicances and some food items. very strong, easy and quick to assemble and they look really nice too.
I am using this to organize my plastic storage bowls and their lids in my undercounter cabinet. I actually swapped the setup around and put the basket part on the top of it which is where I am keeping all the bowl lids. This has vastly improved the organization and easy access of all my plastic storage bowls and lids.

I got this for a second printer at work to keep it under a counter and out of the way. This stand is very sturdy, easy to put together, and has an appealing look. I paid a little more to get the version with the lower basket to add to its rigidity. Very pleased with this purchase.
I bought this shelf unit for additional storage space on a kitchen counter, but it's a little too tall for that purpose, so it will probably be used for extra storage in the garage. Although it wasn't too difficult to assemble, two of the posts are not exactly vertical and can't be adjusted. However, the assembled unit seems to be sturdy and would hold maybe 20-25 pounds. I have had good luck with other Whitmor products and so would recommend this as well.
This is a great wire shelf for a corner or small area. I stacked 4 of them to make them about 6 feet tall. It is lighter made than a traditional wire shelf you'd find in a bakery, but sturdy enough for the short spans between poles. I have about 250 pounds on mine between the shelves.
Bought it for my printer, much too small. Even my older small printer would not fit on it. Nice shelf just smaller than I expected. Even though it said recomended for printers not many would fit on it.
I ordered two of these - they should have been identical. One assembled very easily and would have gotten a five star. The other was hard to assemble because the top shelf is smaller than the basket below - so the 4 legs are not straight. They are going in the garage, so I kept them both.
Everything from the package looked normal. Took the basket portion out, a small portion of the wire was bent. (I could live with that). By the time all was put together, noticed the crooked legs. Unable to straight the legs manually. it was not worth the time to disable, package and mail it back to Walmart.
