had one exactly like this for 20 years and it still works fine
This radio does all I had hoped for in keeping communication with other UTV riders in our group. Had a surprisingly low SWR with a 4' Firestick antenna. Others in our group say my clarity has never been better.
The CB was delivered a day earlier than expected, my husband is a truck driver and he loves it!! Thank you Wal-mart.com
This Cobra CB has some nice features, and it is a very good value. It has a scanning feature to pick up active discussions, Ch. 9/19 priority, NOAA Weather Radio, very good volume, and the quality of its manufacturer (Cobra). The only issue for me is that it is hard to find a good place to position it in my car as my car has a center console. I'll be creative and make something to hold the radio in place. In tandem with a Cobra antenna (magnetic mount), the radio really picks up the signals. I couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase.
I selected this radio for two reasons, the front monut speaker and the compact size for mounting in a dashboard. It has satisfied this requirement well. Performance of the speaker and radio is good, for my use as it is intentended for highway situational awareness.
The Cb is a great radio and very easy to install and set up, just wish it came with an antenna as well, the mike is a bigger one and took some getting used to but everything works great!
Overall this isn't quite as good a CB radio as the classic Cobra 29, but it is a pretty good radio and a really great value for the price. Also it has a couple of features that the "better" CB radios don't -- such as the front facing speaker and the weather channels. For me, it was exactly the size I wanted and the other features made this the best choice for me.
Radio works fine for the reason I bought it. Simple to use, good features and looks good. The weather channel works very well.
wheather chanel don't work
Continually shut off and reset itself. Returned after the first use. I own a trucking company and needed so my drivers could stay in touch. Will be shopping for a different one.
