I was quite surprised to find one of the speakers had only the tweeter working when installed. I re-installed my old speakers to verify the amp/wiring wasn't an issue and then decided to drive to my local Walmart to make an exchange. The store did not stock these speakers so I decided to take a chance and try a pair of Scosche HD6903 speakers that were on sale. I really wasn't expecting much but the price was unbelievable. Boy was I surprised. I had been using a set of Kenwood KFC-6979ie speakers rated for 240W with 10 oz. magnets with the gain on a 460 Watt amplifier set just below half and a Pioneer head unit. After four years with the Kenwoods I was looking for an upgrade since I knew the amp had more to give. These speakers with a 20 oz. magnet rated for 450W once I increased the gain and Bass Boost settings of my amp sound terrific for probably less than half the cost of the Kenwoods I had. I had never heard of Scosche before this purchase but after approximately two weeks of using the Scosche speakers I am very happy.
