I bought this for my grandaughter's 7th birthday. She loves it. Has always played with Lego blocks so the shape is familiar and she can relate to it. Easy for her to use snd seems sturdy. She plays this unit constantly. I purchased a CD of childrens songs with it and she has had no problem operating the player. Could not be happier with this purchase. Priced reasonably. When she first opened the package, my grandaughter said "My wish came true"!
This is a great boom box that I put in my little boy's room. They loved the style and it is super cute in their all boy room. The only thing that I don't like about it is that the cd player cover doesn't have a spring release...you have to pull it up manually. Not sure how long that will last but it's cute for now!
From my 13 year old son ... I like it because it has FM/AM/CD. Reception is very good -- tested in the house, in the church and the clubhouse. I like digital tuner. I like that it looks like a Lego
I searched for a boombox to play CDs for my almost 2-year-old grandson. This one was perfect for him. (We use it only with my direct supervision until he is older.) The Lego look is very clever. The sound is surprisingly good for a player at this price range. He can handle the large front-mounted volume control well. I especially like being able to plug it in to save batteries.
I have to say this is a wonderful gift for our 8 year old son! He loved it.. And listens to it every night before bed. We have had it a few weeks and to be honest I think it is going to last a long time, it is not cheaply made, it is kid proof and well I think it was well worth the money! Not to much and yet not to cheap either,,I think they have finally made a product that actually fits the price!
I am so in love with this cute-looking radio/CD player. I use this in the kitchen and it makes me happy every time I wash dishes.
He loved it and for safety reasons it was a good choice for a small child to listen to music, but he cant pick it up which is great- that means an adult will have to supervise his activities. we love it
I ordered this online, picked it up in-store, gave it to my 8 year old. He opened it, plugged it in, and it never came on. Returned it immediately to the store. End of story!
No matter how cute, or awesome looking this boombox is, DO NOT BUY IT!!! First of all, it is very very cheaply made. I bought one when I graduated from Kindergarten in 2010. I brought it home and I was SO happy! We placed some D-cell batteries in it and lo and behold... nothing. So we took the included power cord and plugged it in, and it worked. We already knew something was wrong. The display lit up orange, but no sound. We tuned it to a local radio station, it worked, but it was very quiet. We opened the CD lid... and smoke comes POURING out of it! Since I was little, I screamed and ran off, worried it would start a fire. We threw it out the window because there was a small flame we could see through the vent. It burnt up on the inside. We took it back and got a refund. Imagine this in your kid's bedroom late at night... when this happens? We filed a lawsuit against Digital Blue. DO NOT BUY.
This is a good looking cd player, especially for lego fans, but that's about all it offers. The one I received had only one working speaker, and it was terrible at playing CDs. CD-R's were very iffy, it would play them about half the time, even tried different brands. But it even had trouble with store-bought CDs! Too bad. I should've listened to the amazon reviewers.
