my son loves this swing set! it is small and compact, great for indoors. i purchased this for my son at 6 months old because he loves to swing and we have no trees for a baby swing & the park is far and inconvienient. He just loves it and will soon be using the slide (I do it for him now & he loves it). I would say that the suggested age range is off a bit...we will upgrade to a bigger set before 4 years old, but until we do this one is perfect. If you have realistic expectations and are buying this for a little one, you will be thrilled. Absolutely what I was looking for in a baby's first swing set.
I actually found a GREAT deal on this when my daughter was just turning 1. We had it set up inside for 2 months b/c it was winter and she didnt pay TOO much attention to it, but now that the weather is nice we have it outside and she loves going on the slide. The swing is OKAY but could be a lot better. It's hard to get her in the swing. If we didnt get it for the price we did, we probablly wouldn't have got it.
I bought this for my daughter last Christmas when she was 11 months old. She is now 21 months old and her feet drag the ground when she swings. Also the swing is not designed very well, she has always slid out of it. She really loves the slide part and I wish I would've just bought that part. It is a very good gym for a young child until they reach the two year mark and can play on the bigger ones though! I don't reccomend this for any child over 2 1/2 though it's just too small.
The assembly of our Little Tikes Swing along Castle was fairly easy and the 2 year old granddaugther loves to climb up and slide down; however, the swing, even at its highest level is too low to the ground for her. Her 2 month old brother will probably get much more use out of the swing side.
The slide works well, be the swing doesn't really swing much at all. My granddaughter likes the swing set, because she slides although already at 2 years old, she is getting a bit big for it as well. It really only lasted one summer .. I am not sure it was really worth it for only one summer. I probably should have gotten just a slide and a separate swing where she could really be pushed and swing a little. There isn't much to even push on this swing. They should redesign the swing ..
My son received this swing set for his first birthday. I put it together inside, since it was winter time. He absolutely loved it!! The down fall is that he out grew this by the time he was 2!!! For that year it served it's purpose, it kept him occupied for hours. Now he is 3 and he just jumps off the slide and ignores the swing. In order for this product to fit kids to 4 years of age it would have to be bigger.
I think I was expecting something better for the price. It's nice for some but I wasn't happy with the product. It states age's 1 to 4 but I baby sit and it wasn't very steady for the 2 year old. The swing was ok my son out grew that part realy fast this was his 1st birthday gift. I think we keep it about 6 months then off to the yard sale. But like I said it worked for othere's just not what i expected. I hope this helps.
I was so excited to get this for my son...but when I put it together, it was very flimsy...defintely not sturdy enough. The hardware to put it together was not screws, but rather a large plastic alternative which was decorative but definitely not sturdy. The swing is very low to the ground, so my son's feet drag on the ground when he swings, and the swing is very uncomfortable for him and the seatbelt is faulty. Definitely not worth the money.
I bought this for my son on his 1st Birthday. We went to put it together so it would be ready for him to play on at his birthday party to only find no screws or bolts in the package. So he did not get to play with it on his birthday and when we did get it together he didn't really care for it. The swing was a joke. When we would put him in it it would swing forward and that was about it. Others have said that it was a good product, but from what I have went through I think that it was a waste of money.
I found the product unreliable, it wobbles and the foot connected to the swing comes off the ground. It is not very sturdy at all. The little tikes swing along castle is made of hollow plastic and is not very stable at all. The product is a good concept but there needs to be a weight on the swing side for stability and it needs to be made of a more sturdy product.
