I got this about 2 weeks ago for .99 when I upgraded on the Next program getting my s6 edge . I wasn't expecting much since I've seen them giving these away for some time now and the only tablet we had before up until now were some off brand Sophix black Friday 7 inch $100 tablets from GameStop I got each of 3 kids one. I couldn't stand them and kids never had to worry about Mom taking them over since they were very generic with only Wifi no bluetooth and the screen resembled a kids toy and very unresponsive i stayed on my galaxy s4. But this is the "family" tablet as they broke them and i control this one. They've seen me playing on this one go for sure and probably would more so if not for brand new s6 edge that I love. For the price even if I'd paid 100 vs free pretty much you can't beat it with warranty etc as well as only 10 per month access! My first thought was hotspot without extra cost and wearing on s6 battery since i live where there is only choice of satellite internet svc. or wireless which is what I choose. But this was a win win for me and the kids. Hotspot. Bluetooth. Lte. Sd card slot. Nice battery life. Cheap enough I'm not scared to let my toddler play on it in case supervised. Lots of capabilities and features I never expected for sure! Nicer if speaker was front facing and camera had flash but hey can't complain. ..
This has been my 4 year old sons tablet since December 2014. He has played with it for many hours over the last 7 months. It has held up very well. It is still fast and responsive. I have not had issues at all with the touch screen at all. I would recommend this tablet to anyone children and adults alike.
Just got mine and wow what an improvement in the android tablet market, super fast 4 core processor, flies through loading apps and web pages, loads google earth maps faster than my laptop and has IR for universal remote apps, plus controls all my other lg devices via network or IR, home run for lg on this one and the price makes it even better.
I've had my tablet since November...I love it however the plug to charge it is absolute garbage. It fell apart in my hand for no reason. I have no children who are rough with it. It was very cheaply made. I am on my way to buy a new one and while I'm at it I am going to buy a cover to protect the tablet itself. Hope the store has the plug in stock
I got mine through a promotion. I really do like it. I had a LG phone in the past so was familiar with the name. The only problem I seem to be having is that the tablet will reset itself for no apparent reason. I was reading a book today and all of a sudden the screen went blue and I had to wait for it to restart. This has also happened while using Facebook, Google and other apps. It is very frustrating to be in the middle of something and have the tablet reset itself. I do wish they had placed the speaker on the front of the tablet instead of the back.
Its a nice tablet but it freezes up after closing the open windows and on some websites, explorer is not that great with its own issues, is not quick in response time and is very sensitive. I think with some fixes this would be a really nice tablet. I'm disappointed in LG.
Got this tablet through the promo a few months back...it all started out well enough, good features, works well with my apps, then the touch screen started giving me issues. It doesn't recognize my screen presses, and the keyboard has gotten to where I have to trick it most the time to get it to press just one button. I fear that using my insurance may land me back in the same boat in a short time, other than that this really is a pretty good tablet for the money I paid for it...I would just like to be able to use it completely, not just as a mobile hotspot, as has become my habit with it currently, for my computer.
This came "free" with adding a line for it. The tablet is a slow, old generation device that is no fun to use. It has a poor UI, constantly drops Facebook connections or closes out viewed images after only a few seconds and there never are any Android updates so the unit is woefully out of date. The keyboard interface is terrible. It constantly drops off the screen and a times is almost impossible to bring back. Previously had a wireless iPad which was a much better experience.
I entered the wrong language by mistake. Now I can't use it. Don't have a car so can't go to store to fix it
I cannot read this screen very well. My eyes are not what they once were. Enlarging doesn't help much. If I don't enlarge it is too light to make out the text. I have an iPhone 6 +, a Dell tablet and a Sony tablet. The all have fabulous screens: sharp, bright, and contrasty. This tablet: not so much. Fuzzy. It was a bad buy for me.
