This phone is my third smart phone ever. I slow to get to getting one however I kept myself up to date on the trends. This phone is the best in its class stock that has it all and is remarkably priced well. The camera is the best out there, the blue tooth range is awesome, its light, easy to use, laid out well and battery life and charging speeds are amazing. I use this as my "laptop" not tablet but laptop. I use this for everything and some of the apps can use a lot of ram and this phone handles them perfectly while still maintaining other basic functions. Its sad that this phone didn't get the attention it deserved when it was released.
I love every feature on this new LG cell phone. It is easy to navigate, the camera takes great photos, the volume is nice and clear and never fuzzes out. I like the large numbers on the dial pad and the battery last a very long time before charging again too. It even works in an elevator :) Just an AWESOME phone all the way round! Thank you LG.
If you like large screen phones like the galaxy s5 or the note, you will find that this phone is an amazing competitor against them. The quad core processor keeps the phone from laggy situations. It is sleek and slim and very lightweight. If combined with its tablet counterpart (the LG G Tab 7) you can use cool features like Q-Pair that lets you share connectivity capabilities with your phone and even help locate eachother when you forget where you put one. If you are budget minded, but you still want a S5 or note style phone, you will not be dissatisfied with this phone! I love it!
The YS880 is my first "smartphone" or more correctly little computer masquerading as a phone. I find it an addictive toy which is probably more related to its capabilities than the plastic and copper. So far as I can tell this is capable of any of the tricks that other smart phones do. It was easy to learn what I was supposed to do even given my unfamiliarity with both android and the phone itself, but I am an inveterate reader of manuals and the online manual, if not a page scroller, is fairly clear. What you might not get on first or second reading you can figure out by fiddling with the phone till it does what you want, or you give up. The phone also has some useful help screens including videos. One thing to keep in mind. The term I believe they use for this sort of phone is a phablet. It is pretty large and takes some getting used to. For those of us used to a pocket phone this requires somewhat larger pockets. It seems fragile. But this goes with the dimensions long and wide but not too thick. So far I haven't been able to destroy it, but I'll keep trying Things I see in other reviews: The battery seems to last quite a while, logically this depends on what you are doing. I would expect that it would be wise to charge the thing if you want to watch movies or play games. The screen is fine. There are two options, dumb for those familiar with smartphones and dumber for those who are not. Dumb is just fine even for a newbie. So far no problems reading the screen in bright sunlight. Sound is fine. Speed is quick, but I started with a computer that ran at 32khz so anything since then is fast. Mah Jong is the only game I use as mind pabulum so response time is not a problem. So far I am happy with it.
This Vista even with it's 5.7" screen is very easy to handle and surprisingly light to hold. One of the main features that I'm impressed with is the battery. A 3200mAh battery is more than enough to get me through the day, which I'm a heavy user. The camera takes solid photo's surprisingly with the 8Mp camera, the only thing that I'd recommend is changing the camera settings. 8Mp is not default as well recording video in full HD 1080p. Overall this is a great phone, light weight and solid android device!
I've owned my G Vista for over a month now, and I got to say that I'm impressed. The battery life is awesome that can last through out the whole day. I love the size and easy to handle. Phone is easy and fun to use. The only problem that theirs a little lag, but that's rare.
Its a great phone for if your looking for a cheap but good working phone or if your just starting to learn how smartphones work it's great for beginner and very easy to use and is pretty duraible and long lasting
This phone has some features I really liked. Large screen, clear text, excellent camera and video application and most Android apps. The problems began when the phone ran out of space for new apps. An additional sd chip is only useable for storing photos. New apps (or any apps) cannot use it. Also, the operating system cannot be upgraded. It uses Android 5.1.1 and no upgrades are available nor have they ever been available. The phone was less than a year old when the screen began to lock up. When this happens pressing the power button brings up the power off screen which won't work because the touch screen is locked out. At that point, removing the battery is the only solution. Altogether, the phone was acceptable three years ago. I'm pretty sure it is discontinued. Whatever phone I buy I will be sure it is upgradeable and expanded memory is useable by all apps. Full disclosure: I have the 45 dollar Verizon plan. Only certain phones could be purchased for that plan when I bought this phone. Higher grade phones could only be purchases for more expensive contract plans so the carrier influences the purchase of phones through their available plans. Where I live, Verizon has the widest coverage.
I have had my LG VS880 since March 2015. It simply does not have enough memory. I added a memory card for pictures and videos but the Apps that came on the phone are taking most of the memory. I don't use all of them but I don't know what will happen if I remove them. I don't want to screw up the entire phone by disabling an app that is required to run the system. UGH! I can't wait until March 2017 for an upgrade. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This phone although nice half the storage space is taken up by apps that are pre-Installed, (Wich you cant get rid of the ones you dont use) only leaves about 4GB left of storage, So after downloading Fb, Fb messenger, And 2 games the "Storage space is low" Warning comes up.
