I purchased this as a backup phone while my 635 is being fixed and I must say I may not switch back. No its not LTE, no fancy camera and the resolution is a bit too sharp/bright but it packs a mighty punch as an entry level, inexpensive windows phone. Its got the latest software and a bigger ram which provides a much smoother gaming and overall phone function experience. It also has a front facing camera. All of those things are lacking in my 635. Which I still love but wish it carried at least the latest software and a front facing camera for its price. I would recommend the 435 to anyone! Good job Microsoft, keep it up!
This phone meets all my expectations and more. A friend raved about the Lumia and when my old smart phone conked out, I bought this one. The camera takes great photos despite having only 2 mps. I also like the way Microsoft formatted the phone. I will definitely recommend this phone to others, especially at a price all can afford (under $50.00!)
This is a nice little Windows phone about the size of an iPhone 4S. It has 1 GB of memory and 8GB of storage. It has a front and rear camera (no flash), but doesn't have 4G-LTE. The Microsoft Lumia 435 is perfect as a backup phone or for someone upgrading from a feature phone. The Windows app store doesn't have as many apps as the Google or Apple store, but has most of the major ones - check before you buy, if you need some specific app!
I wanted something small, which was why my dad bought it for me. It works great, and I can get to all of my OneDrive files, and have access to Office and OneNote. Love it!!!
the phone is great, i love it, however the manual is a little vague as to how to open the battery cover, i figured it out because a friend had a similar phone. there are fewer apps however they are better quality than most android or IOS apps. i played with it a little before my birthday and i will say a whole day of playing games and listening to music and the battery only dropped 50% but that was without the sim card in it. overall it is a great phone
Having used Lumia 625 and Lumia 635, I went for smartphones upgrade in my family buying Lumia 535 and getting Lumia 435 as free gift as a part of Microsoft's promotion in Italy. Both my 535 and 435 are single SIM versions. I'm amazed at Microsoft's decision to give Windows 10 for both 535 and 435. 435 seems to be low end phone only because of its small rear camera of 2 MP, 4" screen size and not so slim body build, but when it comes to "value for money", it is unbeatable. If you don't buy your Lumia for making HD photos, but want to use a low cost and highly affordable smartphone with full advantage of having upgrade possibility to Windows 10 mobile, you can happily go for Lumia 435.
The instruction manual is worse than worthless. Correctly tell you how to open the case? Nope. Correctly tell you how to install the SIM card? Nope. Had to go to YouTube. Oh, and the packaging! We are all familiar with the bubble cards that require a cleaver to open. The package looks just like that. Actually, it turns out to be easy open, but well disguised as a sealed bubble. If they had just slightly offset the inner and outer edges, it would show how to open, but no, the edges are perfectly aligned to appear as one piece. But, the phone is great!
Dear Microsoft,I had always been the fan of small phones, as in something between 3 and 4.7 inches. I have been using galaxy y an android device previously. It had been only 1 year i have been using my lumia 435 and i started to understand and experienced the difference the smoothness and that speed on running heavy apps made me love the windows platform. I suggested many of my neighbours and cousins to give wp a try and all of them are pleased as well . However lack of apps do make me annoyed at times especially lacking of a good webbrowser. I would really request ms to make firefox available for us. We also want the project astoria back. When it comes to software i would like to suggest ms to add zoom feature while taking photographs. Cos without being able to zoom make our photography experience quite annoying at times.thank u.
The product's battery is very short, it doesn't last long. The Microsoft Store doesn't have update apps and the new apps other stores have. The camera is bad quality because doesn't have zoom and flash and the pics are not clear. I don't recommend this phone. Please have a phone update. Please. Please. Please. Please.
Half the apps I use either don't function properly or are not compatible with Windows. Website don't load correctly if at all, I don't receive notification on time some I get them a week late. Within the first week Cortana quit working....the list goes' on, I have not owned this phone longer that a month. I shouldn't be experiencing these issues this early on!
