2 guys built this in 5 hours. My son loves this play set! What a great product especially for the price! We had 4 kids on it at the same time and they had a great time.
Kids loved it! It took five persons to make it ,but it was worth it!
Our kids just love this playset! They are ages 3 & 7 and we expect many years of fun for them and their friends/family. We all love the fact that it has a semi-enclosed play area on the bottom and a snack table and both have a canvas roof on them for those hot summer days! I would recommend this to anyone. Great price, assembly can be a pain, but the joy the kids get out of it makes it worthwhile.
This swing set made my kids day! They love it. It was a bit of a pain to put together according to my husband. It took about 2 days to complete. But in the end well worth the money. We didn't put the monkey bars on yet though.
I did much searching and review reading before buying. I was a little worried about some of the problems people had. We previously owned a different Adventure playset for 8 years that survived two moves. However, during the last two years I worried about my kids being on it to swing. We also had some other issues along the way that needed to be fixed, but I figured if we bought the same brand and it lasts 5 - 8 years we'd be done with kids needing one. I was pleased when we sorted the wood that the boards were all thicker than our previous set. Yes the wood is a bit soft and I was disappointed with a few pieces having small chips on the edges. My husband and I spent just one day with a few breaks, putting it up. The boards and hardware were all labeled and sorting them into piles ahead of time saved time during construction. I did think it weird that the steps went from the bottom of the page up, but were mostly easy to follow. We did make two mistakes with board placements but each were easy fixes. When finally together, I was happy that it was a good size and looks great. My six and nine year old kids can still use it and my younger kids will be able to use it for years to come. I do agree that to have any wood set last longer you need to treat and seal for weather every year. We kind of did that with our first set and I think that if we are more diligent about protection this set will last us until all our kids have outgrown it.
I was so excited to get this for my two sons. It was delivered when stated and came in 3 boxes. My husband and father got the frame up the first day. It is definitely a 2 man job. The only downside are the directions. They're terrible! But, I did a lot of research on swing sets prior to purchasing this one and they all seem to come with bad directions. So I think no matter which one you choose, it's going to be a difficult read. It took us several days to put together but we took our time and we are all very pleased with the outcome. My son had such a blast going down the slide for the first time (he crawled up the slide instead of the ladder). LOL So, if you're looking for a swing set in this price range, I suggest this one. Just don't over drill the screws as the wood could split, but I think that's with any type of wood you're working with. It looks great, feels great, and I think my kids will get a lot of use out of it. It's a must buy!
I liked the lay out of the set, I liked the look of it, how ever I wasn't happy with the following ... 1.It isn't overall very sturdy, most of the main boards are 1x4s, 2.There weren't enough bolts, screws and nuts in the bags of certain sizes making it hard to put some sections together. 3. the bolts, screws and such are brass and are hard to get as tight as you need them as they start stripping 4. the instructions have you all over the place in construction and need be redone. 5. takes 2 people 14 to 18 hrs to complete, and my helper was a building contractor 6. And I will need to recoat the entire set with water repellant before fall At the end of the day my son loves it but I do wonder how long it will last. I am already thinking about how I can replace some boards now with stronger 2x4s.
