Every transformer fan should have this, it's like owning a piece of history, really fun to transform.
Just the fact that is a transformer G1 and it's none other than Optimus Prime, that's enough for me to love it. Great details and nice paint job. Go ahead and buy it.
We bought this for my 4 year old, and he uses it as a toy. Most could use this as a collector. With that said, it is VERY heavy, and will/can pinch little fingers. On my sons, the foot ALWAYS falls off, but goes back on. The stand with the noises is really fun too. Buy this, it will last your child to his adulthood.
My son has enjoyed this so much. Dad too :) It was worth every penny
If I had an Optimus Prime like this when I was a kid, I would have been blindingly happy. This Optimus actually lives up to the show, and can do everything he did on the show. It even comes with a Megatron-in-pistol-form that can be held by him. Needless to say, I'm extremely happy with this, remembering my youth of watching the show on Television.
initially the product gives a decent sense of sturdiness because it feels heavier than one might think the plasticy appearance might suggest. then as you try to transform from robot to truck (which is mildly challenging, which some might enjoy while others might find the diagrams confusing), you find that the joints don't work that well. mine ended up with a stuck knee lever so that the left leg won't stay at its full length anymore.
